but the pick up slow response,i feel its not due to turbo lag..is due to cvt,drive by wire and maybe the tuning..bcoz wat i test in exora,the pick up not as bad as preve

tis is not concern wit NVH..u can feel it when u press the throttle but the car din give response

One thing I hate using s drive for my civic is because it's too artificial, it feels like its tearing my gearbox apart. Don't really know how to put it in words but it's like the drag between gears(the feel) has a strong rubber Band feel. For century sprint I did it within 10 secs before.

Nope, it was because he bought a 30-45k used car. What if he bought a 73k used car? U can buy second hand Honda Accord or Toyota which can last longer & better reputation. I had many friends bought brand new Proton cars, but ended up go to service centre twice a mth due to car defects & unsolve problem! Finally they given up & buy a Jap used car.

Maybe your mom is having a very old model of Toyota Harrier. It's hard to compare the sedan versus SUV If Preve is really that good, I'm sure it can sell well globally. For now, Proton only sells well in Malaysia and no where else because in other countries, tax rate is equal for all cars. When the tax rate is equal, a Toyota is about the same price as a Proton so if Proton cars are really that good, people will buy them.

Admittedly, that alone does not mean the gomen's protectionism policy is no more. Foreign cars CKD and CBU are still subjected to gomen approval on their prices. If the pricing threatens Proton, it will not be approved.

The Vios in Thailand is selling for around 40k starting price RM. The Preve will also cost RM40k for the CFE version if without the 85% tax in Malaysia.

P1 is consider cbu or ckd in the maa chart?

prtn under local taxes, excise n sales, according to type n cc but prtn only below 1.8 except inspira has 2.0, diff excise duty. Cbu import for non asean country only 30%. Cbu n ckd for asean same as local.

proton can sell around 47k(inclusive trader's profit) preve, but then, thats still exclusive the 85% tax.

So, u want to put hatred, do it to the right party.

after reading all the welding issue, button issue, proton make expensive car, i think i gonna reconsider Vios J which is in the range of wat i m prepared to pay for a sedan. practical considerations such as below really make me doubt my choice on Preve:
1. less electronic and features on J. no need worry will spoil. this is very important because anyway i also dunno wat for need traction control, ESC, KFC, ETC...
2. only 1 airbag. my baby can sit safely in the front passenger seat with his car seat.
3. side mirror manual adjust. sometimes i find it really hard cos in auto the button too sensitive.
4. no sport rims. in malaysia road so many potholes, no need worry rim damage.
5. shorter warranty. so i no need go service center service for 5 years.
6. dugong look. bash it all u want but i am a nature lover.
7. if ever need to set foot in Toyota SC, got nasi lemak and teh tarik.
8. i will level up cos driving a CBU car. pity u guys still drive local car. business partners will give me bigger contracts cos they more confident in a person who drives imported car.
9. japanese frens will butthurt cos they no chance to own this awesome toyota in JDM.
10. lastly, if both J and Preve turn out to be shit, japanese shit is still smell nicer than local shit.
