i think s mode is cvt set the lowest available gear for ur car..

Today test drive the preve, and i will just cut the chase and straight to the point.

- initial acceleration from standstill is a b!tch. During traffic jam it will be pain in the arse coz one need constant throttle input in order for the car to creep to the front.
- powderful brake. Very powerful, and dusty too. The test drive car i driven has clocked around 80km and I can see the front wheels is slightly brownish now.
- door locks are speed operated. There's even a chime to "irritate" the driver to tell the front passenger to buckle up when speed is above 30kmh.
- paddle shifter is more for fun. "Gearchanges" are "rubbery" and has a noticable delay everytime the peddle is pulled. BTW, the paddle shifters works when the lever is slotted in D, S and also the middle of the +- section. When using the peddle shifter, in D, the shifting is more "relaxed", in S the shifting has a bit of jerkyness due to the shorter drive ratio.
- The gear indicator is a bit small, and not to mention situated at the bottom right of the Multi Info Display. Steering wheel is adequately weighted and gives much required feedback.

the 1k is not average thru out all rev range.

on highway it will just accelerate beautifully. The test drive route I took lead me to a relatively empty main road and I take the opportunity to nail the throttle halfway down. The rpm shoots to 3,500rpm and all the sudden I can see I'm nearing 100kmh after a block of shops (approx 120m). I cant feel the speed until I peeked at the speedometer and in the car there's also an uncle which become the passenger. My SA and I picked him up from the showroom just to impress him.

When I am nailing the throttle, the uncle say "fuh, sekejap saja sudah lajunya". 

yup, recommended. The initial pick up from standstill from S is much better, but got to becareful with the throttle or else gonna buttsex the person in front. haha

at low speed u know hear the engine sounds quite loud meh?

i really hope im not gonna regret my purchase of this CFE preve.

It's sad in Malaysia, they treat Manual transmission as a shitty cheap option. Here worship Auto/CVT more. Blurgh...

LOL...for the 73k car people keep on finding the bad things on the car? Until welding also can be a issue for them? Facepalm totally to those...do they realize its actually a rm73k car? Why nobody go and check all the welding,material,door,plastic on vios or city ?

Like this the problem will never finish..keep on coming after welding issue,maybe say exhaust too big,button not nice to press,meter not nice to see,steering not nice to hold..LOL expecting like a rm200k car d.

Proud for proton lo got such a people actually doing all this and putting all the effort for their rm73k car

Actually, this car is a good start for Proton, this is the one model where i can feel impressive and there is a lot of improvement in Proton. Pricing wise is good compared with other Vios J, Forte EX,Honda City.....

don't troll here..  a lot of die hard supporter and give you warning level... 

don't mention anything bad about Preve..  it is the best car money can buy...    else u will get another warning level increase too.... 

Proton are soooo small company and u know they can come out with a car like Preve..  it is already the god level they can achieve ( this rules apply, no small or new coming company shall form ) ...
