Today saw a Preve test drive unit cruising slowly at Jalan Loke Yew, 5 adults in the car, the whole road full of cars. Kesian the Preve, no place to stretch it's legs hahahaha

i saw your post before you edit and seriously i don't know whats with everybody saying the meter looks like crap. The meter looks fine to me. Maybe to those who are used to the new Myvi's optitron meter it may look boring but to me its fine.

i just want a convincing answer so i can get a preve without worries
*
If after so many answers are still you are not convinced, the Preve is not for you. Unless, you visit the Tanjung Malim plant and demand to meet the chief engineer in charge of the production line. He is the person you should ask, not random strangers on a Preve thread.

So you think you know something?

Nope, we don't know anything, of course.

Only you know everything.

Now just leave us fools alone while we discuss about a lousy Proton car.

are you sure that the meter is nice looking than polo?

see it twice and you know that preve got some ''dull'' look and not energetic feel to it compare to polo high tech energy meter look
*
You wanna discuss personal taste, then we can only agree to disagree.

Wanna ask here. if buying  a car, recommended is 30% of car monthly installment from basic salary of clean salary? tq...
*
1/3 of net salary, that means after deducting tax, EPF, other installments etc. etc.

And it's not a recommendation, it's a requirement by the bank.

yup....i'm also thinking of saga fx se...but, at home my parents already have saga fl1.3 auto...dunno the flx se got big difference in driving experience or not...
*
FLX SE is a 1.6l CVT, compared to a 1.3l 4AT, of course there will be differences.

The Preve is a whole other experience, but RM 23k more expensive. If you can comfortably afford the installments, feel free to go ahead.

In term of handling, NVH and performance. I am happy to upgrade from City to Preve.

The handling if not better is on par with fiesta.

Not many will consider Honda -> Proton to be an upgrade laugh.gif

QUOTE(mr_boonez @ Apr 20 2012, 09:43 AM)
i just found out from the brochure that :

polo sedan (1.6 NA - torque 138/3800rpm)
kerb weight = 1182kg
gross vehicle weight = 1730kg

preve (1.6 CFE - torque 205/2000~4000rpm)
kerb weight = 1340kg
gross vehicle weight = 1700kg

does this means that the new Polo Sedan is heavier than Preve by 30kg?
which one do we usually compare..kerb weight or gross weight?
*
Kerb weight. The Polo Sedan is about the same size and weight as a Vios, City and Saga, different segment altogether.
