just went to see this new baby, IMO nice to touch, nice to see. Sadly, not yet test drive. The test drive unit is so busy jalan sini sana haha smile.gif

the one in show room is white colour nice, then guess what i found it, the rubber at the boot didnt seal properly.
somewhere i show on the screenshot below... it is so obvious, but i didnt take the pic haha.. many ppl there lolx. Same rubber issue happens to my saga fl. My car that time only 3 months old, coil refix, the rubber pop out at the rear door.

Anyway, hope this Preve no quality issue when delivery to client. Somehow funny, i didn't see any ppl in that branch, Klang, try to knock here and there lolx... accept me close the door to test the sound, knock the car body haha tongue.gif

i think it should be okay because the engine in your car is already rev before delivering you the car, i believe because of the quality control.

after 3rd day of new car go for first service, LOL.

Went to showroom to check the preve, overall not that bad when seeing the car in real life.

Exterior it's really solid, in the picture the back looks bad but in real life, it's not that bad and in fact i quite like it to be honest.

Steering feel solid, paddle shift feel quite nice also; then the seat quite comfy, i'm 180 tall, after sit in still left about 1 punch of distance before my head hit the top; then passenger seat legroom is very very good, again i'm 180 there is also about 1 punch distance before my knee touch the driver seat. Regarding some of the forumer doubt that the passenger seat is too straight, i think likely will not be a big problem for long journey.

Then for the handbrake, yes it's Saga-like of handbrake, but if this can really be an issue, then i want to ask: how many times you hold your d*** compare with you touch the handbrake? If the answer is handbrake then there is some mental problem in you, no offense laugh.gif

I check on the car welding point that many basher pointed out, well IMHO I think proton still need to fix it, because our country all the while raining (if not drizzling), the rain water can easily get into the hole if not weld and seal properly, this could result in rust. But still this is just minor minor stuff, get a 师傅 outside to fix it, then problem solved.

I also open and close the door, the sound really really really solid, i even saw a fat guy use quite a bit of strength just to bang-shut the passenger door, and after he close it, he nod his head also rclxms.gif

Then my wife check on the boots, she was so shocked because it's really so big a boot space (we are going to move house so she's worried about how to move around her digital piano) laugh.gif

I wanted to test drive, but sadly it's only one test drive car there and when it just reached, very quick then other youngster get in then gone, my wife say no need to rush, so we decided tomorrow goto dealer there to grab the car then go TT early.

i've already test drive the car in kuantan...but unable to hantam kaw2 due to traffic...

1) HU not too responsive...this is true
2) the welding part is NEAT and CLEAN
3) brake is superb
4) a slight lag from standstill...but acceptable..i can adapt to it immediately..maybe due to i've been driving auto for quite some time...just press a bit harder to make it move faster.
5) achieve high speed in short time.seriously true.
6) suspension is good...can take fast corner with this standard suspension.
7) boot space is spacious...bigger than waja
8) the GTRadial tire is quite good la...
9) audio system is decent...waja is better..
10) D mode can use paddle shifter but not so aggressive...the gear will auto reset to D if we do not paddle the shift in some period of time...
11) S mode is quite nice..really quite fast to reach 120-130kmj in short time.
12) dashboard?i can accept the design. the indicators next to the HU is quite strong la. i push it quite hard,x tercabut pun!
13) NVH is superb. engine noise is very minimal!
14) CVT gear can get hot...it is better if Proton can install gearbox cooler...same like Inspira or Lancer GT did (at least by the owner)
15) body is SOLID.
16) solid steering feel...
17) i can accept Preve design..will wait for the next batch with bodykits and leather seat...
18) the GTRadial tire is better than Michelin XM2....i'm using XM2 so i can feel it...quite impressive...

i went to Edar Branch in Jalan Beserah. the SA is very nice. after he gave me the key, we headed to Petronas for refuel. at the petrol station, other customer@driver looked at me and smile and admiring the Preve.i just smile back.due to quite a number of que, the route is quite short. we then headed to Tanjung Lumpur and u-turn at Petronas Tanjung Lumpur then headed back to Jln Beserah. what to do...at least i can test drive the car. my opinions, when we can adapt with the gear system, then everything is OK! i'm satisfied with the car. but well, not going to book the car for now.still have some time to wait...no need to rush. the SA quote me interest 2.6%...

anyway, i feel that paddle shift in Lancer GT have more kick...

that is all for now...

Added on April 21, 2012, 4:07 pmcannot snap pic due to battery weak....

update: i will check again for the cooler...i dun have much time to check for it that time..maybe there is 1...

Test drove the car, the low end torque quite bad before the turbo kicks in, but overall the car is pretty good. There is a gearbox cooler i think, pretty sure I saw one. Acceleration felt pretty smooth ,felt something like the accord 2.0. Looking forward to the SE version.
