When ppl compain its sluggish, they forgot this is actually a turbocharged car that cost below RM80 grand

To be honest, I have not tested Preve, and I don't need to buy a car before end of October 2012, but, I'm going to buy this car, not because it's proton, it's because I don't mind simple, straight design, to be honest i don't even mind if it's squeak and rattle here and there, because these issue will somehow happen in any brand of car, no matter how cheap or how expensive.

The cheapest cost you 59k, for 59k at least you can get multilink suspension.

I don't recall any new car selling in M'sia now can give you this.

Malang tidak berbau! Inilah Proton Prevé yang pertama mengalami kemalangan jalan raya sebentar tadi. Kejadian berlaku di leburaya DUKE, susur keluar ke Sentul. Menurut sumber yang dipercayai, kereta ini dipandu oleh SA showroom Sentul dengan kelajuan 120 kmh namun ketika cuba mengelakkan sebuah kereta lain, kereta ini terlanggar pembahagi jalan dan terkena bahagian tayar mengakibatkan kereta tersebut melambung.

Ketika kereta ini mendarat, hentakan yang kuat menyebabkan tie-rod nya patah. Ini bermakna ia tiada kena mengena dengan defect parts dari Proton. Ini adalah kecuaian manusia dan diharapkan berita ini akan memberi gambaran sebenar kejadian tersebut, supaya tiada andaian yang bukan-bukan dibuat.

Car is trustable, but I doubt anything from SA mouth can be trusted...

Went to showroom to check the preve, overall not that bad when seeing the car in real life.

Exterior it's really solid, in the picture the back looks bad but in real life, it's not that bad and in fact i quite like it to be honest.

Steering feel solid, paddle shift feel quite nice also; then the seat quite comfy, i'm 180 tall, after sit in still left about 1 punch of distance before my head hit the top; then passenger seat legroom is very very good, again i'm 180 there is also about 1 punch distance before my knee touch the driver seat. Regarding some of the forumer doubt that the passenger seat is too straight, i think likely will not be a big problem for long journey.

Then for the handbrake, yes it's Saga-like of handbrake, but if this can really be an issue, then i want to ask: how many times you hold your d*** compare with you touch the handbrake? If the answer is handbrake then there is some mental problem in you, no offense

I check on the car welding point that many basher pointed out, well IMHO I think proton still need to fix it, because our country all the while raining (if not drizzling), the rain water can easily get into the hole if not weld and seal properly, this could result in rust. But still this is just minor minor stuff, get a 师傅 outside to fix it, then problem solved.

I also open and close the door, the sound really really really solid, i even saw a fat guy use quite a bit of strength just to bang-shut the passenger door, and after he close it, he nod his head also

Then my wife check on the boots, she was so shocked because it's really so big a boot space (we are going to move house so she's worried about how to move around her digital piano)

I wanted to test drive, but sadly it's only one test drive car there and when it just reached, very quick then other youngster get in then gone, my wife say no need to rush, so we decided tomorrow goto dealer there to grab the car then go TT early.

Not sure about how crowded in the dealer in any other state today, my place here, Bukit Indah Johor Bahru, usually that showroom, nobody give a damn one, today went there, what the hell, so many chinese malay indian all come in. This car really spikes pple interest, and from the pple's look i don't think they just simply want to ketuk the car, because every one looks serious.

And funny thing is those SA really don't know how to intervene as EVERY person are like sport car journal just can't stop touching sitting play around the car.
