1. Optimal Driving Safety: Under-Inflated tire pressure will result in lower vehicle’s stability / control ability and the worst, deformation of tire, while the Over-Inflated tire pressure will result in the risk of sudden flat tire.
2. Fuel Economic: With instant monitoring on the tire pressure, the TPMS device will save you up to 4% of fuel on average with proper tire pressure.
Extended Tire Life: Under-Inflated tire pressure will cause excessive tire wear by up to 50% more if the tire is Under-Inflated by 9%.
3. More Environmental friendly: Keeping the tire pressure in standard level can reduce CO2 emission up to 40%, helping to reduce the global warming effects.
4. The pressure sensor devices used in direct-sensor TPMS are installed inside the tire (internal sensor) and fitted to the wheel rim as the tire is fitted. Installation of tire sensors will require professional work but provides most durable and secure way of keeping the tire sensors in position and inside the tire. Most of the modern original TPMS equipped vehicles are using internal Snap-In tire sensors for most precise tire status check and real-timeresponse of detection
5. Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS), can monitor and provide tire pressure, tire temperature and car battery information in real time to help the driver control and keep the normal tire pressure in order to reduce the fuel consumption and extend the tire life, and also through the battery information, the driver can change the battery before any incident occurs and reduce the possibility of vehicle breakdown on the roads.
Package includes:Tire Pressure Monitoring System, includes 4 tire sensors and 1 receiver display, the TPMS can monitor the pressure/temperature by snap-in installation into the tire, and transmit the tire information to the receiver by wireless. TPMS Frequently Asked Questions:
Q1: Why use LED Display instead of LCD display?
A1: TPMS Receiver / Display is produced with high quality LED Display particularly made for In-Car working environment, working temperature range is from -30 ¡æ (-22¨H) to 85 ¡æ (185¨H ). Under this working condition,LED is more durable than LCD display. Also, with our exclusive Auto Adjust Brightness function, the LED visibility is guaranteed for a very noticeable reading in daytime driving and auto adjusted to lower brightness for nighttime driving comfort. Unlike other TPMS units produced without Auto Adjust brightness, that will face a poor reading in daytime, while the over lighted glare in nighttime driving (too bright). Kipoints Color Changeable LED for RED and GREEN also can be very practical and noticeable in warning mode. Our Receiver / Display also equipped with Rapid Tire Deflate Warning System, which is a very important emergency warning mode that will inform drivers to slow down from high speed driving and avoid possible severe casualty and property loss. And TPMS Receiever / Display is designed with Tire Pressure Failure Sign that complies to U.S. FMVSS138.
Q2: Are the Tire Pressure Sensors battery replaceable?
A2: Tire Pressure Sensors are constantly working inside the tires under extreme severe conditions. Working temperature can vary from -40 ¡æ (-40¨H ) to 85 ¡æ (185¨H ),high humidity, high spinning G force (can reach over 2000G) and high vibration and impacts. To ensure the Tire Sensors can work functionally and precisely in this environment, the battery / chip & core components are sealed into one piece for credibility.
Q3: What is the lifetime of the Battery in the tire sensor?
A3: TPMS tire sensors are equipped with Military Spec Battery from Israel. By advanced power management, the battery life can reach up to 7 years even under 24 hours constant transmitting. And by this 24 hours all time monitoring, drivers will be able to read the tire pressure and temperature before driving the car to avoid any possible accidents on road due to tire failure.
Q4: Will users have to replace the whole sensor unit in case of Valve Stem damage or air leakage?
A4: tire sensors use a separate 2 Piece design for Tire Sensors and Valve Stem. This make the valve stem interchange possible and at a very low cost whenever you like to replace for new valve stem. Some other brands TPMS used 1 Piece design for sensor with valve stem, users can only replace a new costly tire sensor when valve stem change required. And in most cases of air leakage concern, with KIPOINTs valve stem, you can just simply change the low cost rubber O ring instead of replacing for a new valve stem.
Q5: Will the tire Pressure & Temperature be monitored in car standstill status?
A5: To ensure your safety all the time, TPMS monitors the tire pressure & temperature at all time. Some other TPMS only activate monitoring by acceleration or pressure change, and those units will not be able to detect deflation or tire puncture in car standstill status.
Q6: Will TPMS lose signal or provide incorrect detection in high speed driving?
A6: In some case of other brands TPMS might have the dead zone reception, but in TPMS there is no reception dead zone, so our TPMS unit will provide precise tire pressure & temperature information regardless of speed.
Q7: Does TPMS Tire Sensors need to be specified for on car physical position as LF/RF/RL/RR sensor?
A7: Each of our TPMS sensors has its own unique ID, this will guarantee that the In-Car Receiver / Display only receives signals from certain programmed sensors (NOT receiving signals from other cars near you). Each sensors will need to be paired with Receiver / Display. Our TPMS unit is pre-programmed & paired with the sensors came with the box, and each sensors are marked with label stating its pre-programmed position such as LF/RF/RL/RR. Users can install the sensors following the label correctly, and no set up will be required. Even if the sensors are placed in the wrong wheel, you can simply follow the manual to re-position the sensors physical position under the car.
Q8: Can users do Tire Swap such as Front & Rear or Left & Right exchange without having to re-install the tire sensors?
A8: TPMS unit supports Tire Sensor Re-program mode. Users can just press a few buttons on the receiver to complete the tire swap / repositioning. There is no need to change any settings on the tire sensors.
Q9: Can users buy and exchange single Tire Sensors? Or can users purchase additional sensors for another set of tire and wheel?
A9: With our service and worldwide sales / shipping, users can order the tire sensors anytime from us. And installation and pairing of sensors are rather simple as: 1. Installation of new tire sensors to the wheel. 2. Press set into Mode 5 sensors replacement mode, and choose the position of tires in the car. 3. Inflate the tire to proper pressure. Users can even purchase additional 4 sensors to install on the winter tire & wheel for snowing area, so that there is no need to remove the tire sensors from the summer tire & wheel set and install them again to winter sets.
Q10: Can users configure manually for a custom Warning Range for tire pressure & temperature?
A10: TPMS default "STANDARD" tire pressure is at 2.3 bar (33 psi), when tire pressure exceeds ±25%the system will simultaneously alarm by twinkling LED and audible sound. This feature also complies to FMVSS138 regulation by US. Our exclusive design also provides users to customize for its standard pressure according to different wheels, loading or car types. Values can be set between 1.9 bar ~3.5 bar (27.5 ~50psi) for pressure, and high temperature warning 60 ¡æ ~90¡æ (140~210¨H ) with default setting at 80 ¡æ (175¨H )
