U wan.print 4R.only u have good choice for thermal transfer type. If u wanted to print.huge A4(8R) u stuck with inkjet printing which afraid of water and fade over time(10 years)

For thermal(4R fixed size) u can choose from Sony S frame+printer, or canon shelphy printers. They use therma transfer, more accurate color(wider contrast of CMYK vs inkjet) water resistant, tear resistant, and color last up to 100 years.

Sony is faster in printing, and costing is rm1 each print. Printer USB to PC, support multicard up to 32gb
Canon is a little slow, support picbridge(direct USB from camera), costing rm1.2 each print, card support up to 16gb max(slot)(over 16gb use camera USB link)

Both are cheaper then inkjet usually costing from rm1.8 to 2.8 depending on ink and paper, and quality far from thermal type.

Canon and Epson are the best printers.

Both have long lasting inks if paired with the right papers.

Based on studies and there are lots of it Canon claims even 25-100 years for some of their papers and inks (Chroma +)

I would not use cheapo CISS for A4's. All original, costs up to RM5 per A4 sheet.

Some inks are actually pigment type especially Epsons and they are water resistant. Anyway I wouldn't expose an 8R to water.
