Epson is always known as the best printer for photography printing. For cheaper ink but good quality picture I would recommend to go with L210 tank series or if you serious about printing L800 is a goood choice. Match it with ESYINK Premium High Gloss you'll get an excellent print out image.

Hello guys,

sorry in advance if this is posted on the wrong section.

Would like to ask opinions on which would be the best printer for home use for printing pics on photo paper?
Canon / HP ???
It would be a dedicated printer just for pics, very very less for documents.
A printer which does sharp results would be appreciated smile.gif

Thanks

Yes, this is the one I got. Prints gorgeous A3 photos. Only downside is it takes huge space on your desk and it's bloody heavy.

So I resorted to putting the printer in my daughter's room and connect it via network LAN.

Canon Selphy series? Maybe slightly over budget.

Hmmm, I think if you look around, you can find CISS for the PRO-100.

Generally, a lot of people say this is not recommended. I think based on pass experience and from what other systems have turned out to be, complications arise due to the space required. If I'm not wrong, the printer stops printing when you open the cover. The tiny flexible tubing is pretty sensitive also seeing that they must flex and bend as the printhead moves back and forth. But from the above pics, it looks neat and looks like it would work nicely with the cover closed and without complications. But then again, it's new and untested.

Anyway the general advise would be to use back and refill the original empty ink cartridge and a CLI-42 chip resetter to reset the ink levels.

SRP is RM 1038. Bought mine at All IT in IPC. It was RM 100 less than retail if not wrong.

I've looked around and bigger computer shops don't carry them. I think very hard to sell item such a bulky A3 printer. I believe if you go to Canon official shop (1 Utama or Mid Valley), you can find them. Contemplated buying it at 1U at first. Price was also cheaper than SRP by RM 100 if I'm not wrong.
