CVT = Continuously variable transmission, a type of gearbox.

In both DCT and clutched based CVT, the clutch is controlled by the TCU, not human input like a manual car. Even the AMT found in Savvy has a clutch.

These are all considered auto tranny in the traditional sense that it has no manually operated clutch and shifting happens automatically. However some comes with manual controls such as paddle shifters, but still the clutch is electronically controlled, not manually.

dual clutch means ade two clutch lor, to put it simply, it has one clutch for gear 1,3,5 and another clutch for gear 2,4,6. During drive, only one of the clutch is engaged depending on which gear you are in.

When the gear shifts, say from gear 2 to gear 3, the clutch for gear 2 will open while the clutch for gear 3 will immediately close. This drastically reduces shifting time compare to a single clutch gb like a manual car, where you have to open the clutch, shift, then close the clutch.
