Hi guyz, i have few questions,
last time my fc reading was 8.1l/100km...now after changed a new aircond bearing (hope i said it right)...fc jump to 8.3..quite high as for 1 yr it always stay 8.1..sometime 8.0/7.9l...but i doono if this bearing cause the issue here.. there is no load in the car..boot is empty..driver only..tyre pressure checked..n drive at 80-90km/h..still reading at 8.3...rm30 can tahan oni for 1 n half day...normal...2days.. travel distance approx ~90km per day so just wan to know ur opinion about this case... last but not least...what brand is recommended for below item: -spark plug - (some say denso, others NGK) -air filter - K&N,Works...etc?? -brake pad - (saw at front page..some need to bedding in..how ar?? sori if those are noob questions.. |

QUOTE(farcry84 @ Apr 24 2012, 08:01 AM) Hi guyz, i have few questions, Did you did anything to the car apart from aircond bearing? A switch in engine oil, petrol brand, etc may cause ur FC to go up. Also, when was the last time you changed your ATF? There are too many factors at play here, & by right a replaced aircond bearing wouldnt cause the FC to go up.. Please state all the latest mods/replaced things together with the aircond bearing at the time..last time my fc reading was 8.1l/100km...now after changed a new aircond bearing (hope i said it right)...fc jump to 8.3..quite high as for 1 yr it always stay 8.1..sometime 8.0/7.9l...but i doono if this bearing cause the issue here.. there is no load in the car..boot is empty..driver only..tyre pressure checked..n drive at 80-90km/h..still reading at 8.3...rm30 can tahan oni for 1 n half day...normal...2days.. travel distance approx ~90km per day so just wan to know ur opinion about this case... last but not least...what brand is recommended for below item: -spark plug - (some say denso, others NGK) -air filter - K&N,Works...etc?? -brake pad - (saw at front page..some need to bedding in..how ar?? sori if those are noob questions.. As for air filter.. Simota is 3x (almost), cheaper than K&N.. & it's easier to maintain as no reoiling kit is needed. Brake pads, up to you actually. What are you looking for? Performance brake pads? If yes, I suggest you to try either RS or the latest addition to the performance category, IMP Platinum. But these performance brakes would require bedding in, which should be done by the installer. Anyway, its not that hard to bed in, but I'll explain further on that later, only if you're interested. Spark plugs. I think 90% of the members here that changed their spark plugs are using Denso Iridium. Need I say more? |

Last ATF change was during 20k km major service if im not mistaken..now 34k already...i noticed this fc change after last minor service..no mod..all stock..
as for petrol..most of the time use petronas 95...sometime shell 95.. SC use shell engine oil(the yellow bottle)..good or not?? any good oil recommended for persona?? maybe i'll wait until next service...then see how d FC change... im afraid SC not changed engine oil..just guessing bcause i was not there during service...nature call that time.. yeah...looking for performance pad...original one very soft...almost hit a car when emergency brake..but i heard using performnce one will affect d disc..is it true? what if bed in is not done properly?? just curious |
