SOHO is for Small Office/Home Office users. Its basicly from the SMEs (small companies or medium-sized companies which can't afford to pay much for the Enterprise package or for TMNet's SDSL Packages. So they came up with a cheaper one called the SOHO Package , its RM 138 per month and its affordable for those SMEs

If you're planning to have streamyx at your house , I would not choose the SOHO Package. Instead I would go for the current promotion , which is the holiday package , for RM 77 per month. Please keep in mind that you're signing a contract with TM for 2 years . So there is no backing out

I've never experience SOHO package before but in my opinion, the SOHO will be slightly better than the home packages. Furthermore, you are paying more so TMNet will give you more priority if you take the SOHO package compared to the home packages.

Hmm ... i thought they just like come out with the package that small company can afford . If i m not mistaken , last time they said Company cannot register under home packages liao , the company that have been register they still can use the home package , but now new register cant use the home packages. And since just a place to suit their new "LAW" .. i think the performance will just as same as home user , because i think using ADSL too , and non static ip too.

Yes , its just the Home Package with a new makeover , thats all. Pretty much its the same as Streamyx 88 (or Streamyx Holiday Package) , but with a new "face". If you're phone line is not under the home category (meaning that its registered for SME use , then you have no choice to use SoHo Package)

In terms of upload and download speed , yes its the same

Yes , in fact its connected to the same DSLAM. unlike the higher end packages. Basicly as I said , its just the standard 88 package with a new coat , thats all

there is a difference, however whether it's worth paying for the difference depends on your usage.

for me, i'm paying the RM 66 package. couldn't care about it. my gf i using the RM 88 package.

download speed is much faster.

and i don't think going SOHO package will get you extra attention from TM.

Offer RM77 is for new applicant right? Why no offer to current user?

new user they bond u 2 years with that speed.... think of it maybe 6 months later 66 package is upgraded to 1mbps or higher.... u are still bonded with the 77 package which is 1mbps and slower so 77 package may have a disadvantage

You sure no upgrade for RM77 Holiday Package ? Some agents said they will upgrade it if the current RM88 package gets upgraded.
