Hey mate, you get me wrong because I'm using the wrong word. I do diet, exercise etc but my body weight stuck at 85kg. Last month is 89kg. What I mean is maybe I need a fat burner supplement and I need a recommendation. And I don't need answer related to diet or workout. It's not that I don't want to listen but my main question is, what is the best fat burner supplement? Some would recommend GNC, Herbal life etc. Thanks mate.

*P/s: That weight lost is awesome. Hehe... Mind to share some of exercise you do?

Added on October 21, 2012, 12:25 pmI guess, I really need advice for the diet. Okay, I stay and work at rural and only go to Miri once every one or two month. It's hard for me to get food supply like those who stay at city or sub-urban. But I still can get some common food like chicken, egg, fruits and some vegetables. Can someone help me? Maybe it's due to my diet bah that make my body weight stuck.

why not you try taking fat burners with a bad diet? smile.gif I'll just give you a fat burner with pretty high rating, animal cuts. Go ahead and use it with your current I-dont-bother-bout-what-I'm-eating diet. Fat burners do not magically burn tummy fats, it only suppress your appetite and increase metabolism.

In my pov, only if you have a beach date or whatever events that require you to look good topless, you can just pop a in few fat burners. And stop taking em after that.

Hey guys, I was just wondering how lose tummy fats? Ive tried a lot of things such as running, cutting down on fatty foods, late night indulging, as well as slimming lotion. Nothing seems to work. And ideas? Malu sikit when I go swimming with buddies. Tummy only so big, the rest normal only. Haha~

cut down on food intake. I'm on a cutting phase now, so I can tell you how much food you have to cut.

breakfast,
nothing, I hate breakfasts. tongue.gif

lunch,
- small bowl of pasta or spaghetti, around 300-400kcal
- protein shake, 110kcal

dinner,
- minimal rice with meat and veg, 500kcal.

so it usually rounds of to around 1000kcal. tongue.gif it is very effective. and you might be asking, how the hell you get energy and also eating so little? and here the fat burners come into play.
no milo, no candies, no soft drinks and drink lots of water. I have a beach date next week, so I have to go to the extreme alr. tongue.gif

and fasted training. smile.gif

tbh, I believe the term 'low calorie diet will make you lose muscle' come about because eating less which equals to less calorie in, will result in less nutrients for rebuilding, repairing and maintaining muscle mass. stuff like essential amnio acids/first class protein will be close to nil because dipping below 1k calorie doesn't really provide much.

solution is, rely on supps for the time being. biggrin.gif

there isnt any scientific proof that when glycogen(carbs) is all used up, muscle will be burned to provide energy.

Here's the thing. Assuming that you are a male, your BMR should be more than 1000kcal. Do you know what is BMR? BMR is a value in calorie which our body needs in order to function at minimum level. Emphasis on minimum. Muscles, need energy 24/7 and if you are not providing sufficient energy, you'll lose your muscle. Ever wonder why bodybuilder who in cutting phase didn't do extreme low calorie diet? What's the purpose of bulking if you are losing muscle during cutting?

General rule of thumb while cutting is, maximum of 20% calorie deficit from calorie maintenance. More than that, your muscle didn't get enough energy (comes from calorie) and it will start to breakdown.

BTW, I estimated that according to your diet, your protein intake didn't even barely reach 100 g. Is that enough for you body even with a scoop of protein shake? NO.
*
that's what I'm trying to highlight, is there any scientific proof for this? Muscle itself would not breakdown when there is insufficient energy. muscle itself isn't a energy provider at the very first place. It'll only breakdown when you lift and you don't take enough protein to repair it. So a low calorie diet indirectly affects it because protein intake isn't enough. In fact fats have higher energy value than carbs because of the oxygen ratio or something like that, can't remember.

around 80g of protein the last time I calculated, without any protein shakes. I'll usually take 2 scoops of protein and it'll be just nice for 0.75g/lbs.

shocking.gif Yes there is scientific proof. Read up and educate yourself before spreading dangerous advice please.

Muscle is broken down if your caloric deficit is too large for too long because your body cannot maintain it. Muscles are greedy - they need calories and nutrients to be maintained. Even with 'enough' protein, it can still be diminished as your body is unable to meet its demands.

Not to mention, fat mass is crap for supplying your body with necessary glucose and amino acids if broken down ESPECIALLY if you are conducting high intensity workouts like weight training or serious cardio. So if your body is not getting it from your diet then where do you think it is going to suck it out off? Your muscles.

That said, if you are a very unique human being that is able to thrive and stay big and muscular on a diet of 1000 calories a day and what is insufficient nutrients for the rest of us - then congratulations! thumbup.gif

Just don't go around telling others that such a thing will work for them shakehead.gif

umm, proof? instead of talking why not just post it down here.

first of all, muscles are made up of amino blocks(protein), water and some glucose. I agree on the nutrients part, but then calories? what does calories have to do with muscle maintenance? Say fats are high in cal, so I eat loads of them to maintain my muscle?
and our body do keep extra amino acids, thats why if you dunk on tons of protein, you'll get fat. Obviously you dont use fat to supply the body with glucose and amino acids, cos fat is fat..it is for energy purposes. fat > carbs in terms of energy value. But I'm not saying one should not totally weaned off from carbs.

and yes, I did mention it was for short term..unless you are anorexic.

starve the body? that was what I was pointing out at the first place.
People relate calories to muscle loss because less calories translates to less food going into the body, agree? and that means less natural protein too. So I was just saying about taking whey protein and daily multivits supplements, I don't see anything wrong with that.

"What this study shows is that there is a huge misconception about low calorie diets and its effects on the human body. Now, I don’t recommend people to go on an 800 calorie diet because that is a bit too extreme in my opinion, but I just want to show people that going on a low calorie diet isn’t as bad as you think it is."
http://www.jacn.org/content/18/2/115.abstract

and I never mentioned it was for a long term run, if you even bothered to read the first post, I've stated clearly that I have a beach date next week, on the 15th to be precise. Obviously I know going on a low calorie diet on a long term is not good for the body.

<THE QUESTION STARTS HERE>
So, I want to achieve a better shape and tone before 2013 comes.
My weight : 54KG (I have a layered stomach to be honest)
Height: 156CM

PS: I have a slight asthma. It's not really serious anyway smile.gif

I want to lose about 5-8KG in 2 months, if it is possible.
Plus, I also want to have an abs like Jenna Marbles too! (The abs is not really necessary actually)

I don't have anyone to ask in real life about this.
And I never even tried to lost weight before, this is my first time.
So, I really have no clue on where to start and what to do.

Anyway, can anyone please advice me on what should I do for my exercise? My eating diet?
Daily routine or anything that is important?
Please.
And I'm truly sorry if I annoys you with this or you don't understand what I said sad.gif

Thank you ><

look at alien9's siggy, it provides you the basic info about nutrition and how to calculate it.
most important is your diet, followed by training. smile.gif I think 5kg around 2 months is possible, with proper food and everything.
