she has zero experience in modelling and just a doing a favour for me to try out my new camera. i can't expect too much from her though.how's my composition though? does it work?

You have already broken the first rule, be aware.

Neither one of us have experience in modeling since we born. Photographer need to guide her to achieve what you want indeed. Talk to her, distract her, ask her walk around, relaxing etc, don't keep on looking on camera with the exactly same smiley....

Ah well, I suppose doing this shoot in her own uni wasn't exactly going to make her comfortable and relaxed at all. i did bring a guidebook on posing for her to refer throughout the shoot though. will try to work on communicating more with the model on that. thanks

yeah i did guide her..otherwise the poses will all be the same.. it's the face expression that can't be taught in one hour..

aiya, how the model looks not important, no one is born perfect anyway... but 1 thing that we can change, is maybe how the photog can shoot better

and to TS: most of the pics the model face is under expose, normally people want to see the face of the model in portrait.

and try to learn some PP skill to improve the picta

U can use internal flash or natural light
