I hope the game comes out on time. I've enjoyed the demo a lot and roughly understand their combat mechanics.

Yup, I've learnt some stuff about the demo. I hope that combat doesn't get to repetitive (or maybe I'll be too busy finding the best way to deal out the most damage during combos that I don't even find it repetitive biggrin.gif )

Timing is not only important in combos, but when you have a few support units nearby, it's also important to select the best support for maximum damage. Also skills are important too (like Ryu & Ken's skill from the demo which maintains the enemy's juggle height).

I don't think I'll mind the story that much. And I'm liking all the music I hear (especially Volcanic Rim, Ryu's theme and that them that plays with Kite and Black Rose).

Just wondering, how far are you guys in the game? I've just completed the the mission where you fight Heihachi.

There's 41 Chapters in total excluding the 5 prologue chapters, and missions take about 1-2 hours long starting from Chapter 9-10.

So happy right now cuz I played so much today that I managed to get X and Zero in my team.

In my opinion, the game is alright. So far, I've been enjoying the game a lot. While people may find the game rather hard and repetitive with their combos, the fun of the game (for me) is trying to land the perfect combo with critical hits to deal more damage.

And that I can play as some of my favourite characters like X and Zero.

Whew! Beat the game just now icon_rolleyes.gif

Wasn't as difficult as I heard it would be cuz I was saving all my rare HP and XP healing items for the final chapter, only to not use it.

Plus, I was also able to use my favourite team pairing (X and Zero) to defeat the final boss.

I still don't quite understand the combat.
There's a list of moves, and then on top of the exp bar there are like three directions? What are those exactly?

The objective of combat is to create the longest combo possible to juggle your opponents. When you first start the game, your characters have 3 moves which can be done by pressing 'A' and/or with a directional button. Doing all the moves in your move list grants you an additional attack to extend your combo.

Long combos gives you more 'XP' at the end of the combat (Not to be confused with EXP, which is your experience). XP can be used to defend/counter the enemy when they attack, use skills, or perform a special attack (Super or Multi attack) if you have enough XP.

Also, time your combos correctly (having your attack hits the opponent just before they land on the ground) and you can perform a critical hit, which gives you more EXP.
