Hi, need some help in choosing a laptop.

Preferred Brand: None
Budget: preferably <RM 2000, but will consider up to RM 2500
Usage: college work, medium gaming, watching movies
Preferred screen size: None

Hoping to get one with at least i5 and 4GB RAM. A large hard disk is not necessary. Battery life minimum 3 hours continuously (if possible?)

I will be carrying the laptop to school and back, about 20 mins walk.

Thank you for the opinions!

Thank you for the suggestions.

I heard the Dell Inspiron 14R (not sure whether special edition or not) has some problem with the motherboard. Is it true?

One shop I visited offered me Asus A43SD, but free RAM upgrade to 4GB (originally 2GB) @RM1999. Will this affect the warranty?

Thank you again!

I'm not aware of motherboard problems on the 14R hmm.gif
The Asus A43Sd is quite outdated already, you can get newer-spec laptops at that price nod.gif
Nope, installing RAM won't void warranty icon_rolleyes.gif
