Pros, am looking for a laptop with the criterias belows:
1) price up to 4k
2) for the purpose of watching drama and gaming. preferably no overheat issue.... i am using toshiba satellite m500 now, and hav phobia with the overheat.
3) screen size: not demanding on this.
4) any brand

i have been researching around and i found out that most ppl are recommending Asus here than Lenovo. But from China website, most of them are going toward Lenovo, but still Asus has quite good review there. Lenovo Y470 and Y570 or 580, i have forgotten, have the best review by them. So, what do think about it? Thanks!!

I used to own an M500, really hated it... fcuk Toshiba for even selling it laugh.gif

Are you buying in a hurry? If not, better wait for the upcoming Asus N and G series with much better specs nod.gif
We recommended Asus because their laptops offer good price:performance ratio nod.gif
The Y470 and Y570 are alot worse than the Asus G series (if your budget is Rm4k) if you're looking at gaming performance...

yeh, i can wait. when will it be releasing? and, I'm going to sell the bloody m500, how much do u think it worth now?

Added on May 3, 2012, 4:27 pmThis stuff is damn freaking heavy! For those who doesn't want to carry heavy thing, don't buy this... I think the adapter itself is already more than 1 kg..

Added on May 3, 2012, 4:29 pmOMG!! Just listen to music and the speaker is loud, clear... Nice!

Okay, i just bought a G55 and thinking to get another N56 for my gf. After seeing the post complaining the after sale service, I decided not to purchase Asus and need Pros' advice here!!!

Prefer Brand: Any except Asus and Acer
Usage: movie, song, work (microsoft office, photoshop, etc)
Budget: <4k
Others: Must be a good after sales service

Thanks!!! It's better to give me some choices than only one. biggrin.gif

Eh bro, we need a review from you on the G55  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif
Many people are very interested in this model but there's no reviews so far apart from some pictures sad.gif Please help :lol;
What's your gf's preferred laptop size?
15" is quite big and heavy o, not exactly very suitable for girls imho
*
It works extremely well with gaming, watching movie and listening song. The speakers are really loud. rclxms.gif
The bad things are, the adapter can get very hot and pls avoid touching it. Also, it's very heavy and not suitable for a girl or whoever couldn't carry such a heavy laptop. I think it's more than 4kg (adapter itself already >2kg) sweat.gif
About the quality, so far so good. No hang, etc.

Can I say this is the best laptop at this price?? hmm.gif

opss.. you just reminded me about the battery life. I haven't tried it yet. Will let you know asap.
btw, i think it will be more than 3 hours as IB will be better in power management (I'm not pro but this is what most ppl said...) blush.gif

Okay. Will do it next week. Currently outstation now.. sad.gif
By the way, what do you guys think about this:

HP DV6 Notebook PC
Intel Core i7-2670M,
4GB DDR3 specification,
640GB HHD,
HP BrightView LED display
15.6-inch VGA ATI Radeon HD 6490M 1GB
Windows 7 Home Premium

for only work, movie and song. No game.... Tq.
