hi guys, im planning to buy a new gaming laptop. since it's not urgent, i dont mind waiting a few months if there are better laptops that will be released (and fullfilled my needs)
-below RM3.5k
-bigger than 14" (prefer 15" or 17"...14" is too small for me)
-used mainly for gaming and multimedia rendering
-brand, weight, design, accessories doesnt matter
generally i need a laptop with greatest spec i can get under RM3.5k, any ideas?

or maybe the brochure printed wrong? i googled around and found out that in another countries it is gt635m..
and the actual display is 1080p right? in the brochure says 1366x768

with RM3k budget, is these 2 the only laptops with ivy bridge?

Dell Inspiron 15R (Limited Edition), i7-3612QM + AMD HD7730M@RM2999, 8GB, 1TB(5400rpm)
Acer V3-571G-73614G1T, i7-3610QM + Nvidia GT640M@RM2899, 4GB, 1TB

about the gpu..which 1 better?
eventhough i dont really prefer these 2 brands..but they are the cheapest one with IB and good gpu...

my hope with N56 is gone...too expensive i think.

how is acer v3 performance and build quality?
V3-571G-73614G1T, i7-3610QM + Nvidia GT640M@RM2899, 4GB, 1TB

eventhough i had bad experience with acer laptops, v3 is the most affordable 15" 3rd gen i7 laptop right now sad.gif
i might have to consider this one instead..

Do take note that the GT640M in the Y480 is Fermi based (weaker)... and the GT555m in the Y570 is crippled (weaker too)...
The GT635M in the MSI is better, summore the laptop is powered by an SSD, it'll be very fast... Additionally, its FullHD, its a steal!
If you're fast enough, you might even get a free copy of W7HP (see the link for more details)

Don't be fooled by the Ivy i7, its not that important, especially if you're only using the laptop for gaming... having an SSD will give you a much better overall experience~

when do u guys think these new laptops (G55vw, N56vz, N56zm, Y580) will be available widely in msia?
i want to buy, but don't want to take risk of pre-order or online order..

how about next month (13 Jul) pikom pcfair in klcc?
these laptops will surely be available there right?

i7+gt650m rm23++ definitely a good deal.
