Larger doesn't actually mean that its all better, you'll need to compromise on weight and size, and also shorter battery lives

In terms of specifications, the Lenovo is better in terms of gaming performance, but the screen resolution is a bit of a let down

Well, it depends really on which is your priority... if your "listen to songs" involves playing through the laptop speakers, then the Y580 has the better edge here. The JBL speakers on them Y series has always been awesome!
Contrarily, the speakers on the Inspirons are often pretty poor Might wanna consider external speakers instead if you are getting them

Don't think there are available units at the moment since its very new. But you could pre-order one in any official retail stores though~

For gaming, this one would be better

You don't really need an i7 processor for gaming..

Dell is better in terms of warranty support. The tendency to overheat/ have heat problems vary from model to model, regardless of brand 

Don't think there are any ready stocks yet, but you should be able to pre-order from official retailers
Usually for those who do alot of multitasking involving rendering, calculations, simulations, gaming ,browsing, listening to songs and several other programs running that you need an i7 processor. You don't need one for normal usage
