Dell Inspiron 15R (Special Edition), i7-3612QM + AMD HD7730M@RM2999, 8GB, 1TB(5400rpm); backlit keyboard optional

*Use remaining money for warranty extension and upgrades (it appears that FullHD options and HDD/SSD options will be available real soon~

If compare Dell Inspiron 15R (Special Edition) with Asus N55SL, which one is better ?

What is the different of i7-3612QM vs i7-2670QM , AMD HD7730M vs NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 635M 2GB DDR3 VRAM ?

I heard Dell notebook is quite lagging sometime during gaming ?

Because one of my friends is using Dell notebook, even he just play simple game, the notebook will be lagging sometime.

Once again, thanks for the suggestion thumbup.gif

The Inspiron 15R is way better nod.gif
Still, you might want to wait for those upgrade options 1st... no point getting such a powerful laptop if the screen resolution is a mere 1366x768 OR has a slow HDD nod.gif

Well, you heard wrong laugh.gif
Just because your friend has a Dell notebook with poorer specs OR poorer maintenance and lags during gaming,  doesn't mean that all Dell laptops lag at gaming  sweat.gif

So this Dell Inspiron 15R (Special Edition) is not available yet in Malaysia ? Actually I don't really like the Asus N55SL because of the num pad... lol ~ it looks weird the notebook with num pad tongue.gif

I don't really know much notebook so i'm just searching here and there with no clue ~ sad.gif

I heard Dell has the best customer service among all notebook brand right ? In what way it's better compare to other brands ? rclxms.gif

Yes it is available already, just that the option to upgrade to FullHD or better HDD/SSDs are still not available in the website yet... I'd suggest you wait a few days more since its rumored to be available real soon nod.gif

It all depends on what you are looking for, if you are concerned about warranty support, then Dell is the best at the moment.
If you are looking for bang-for-buck (better price:performance), then Acer, Asus and Lenovo would be better picks.

Is the price lower if I do online purchase from the official website of all notebook brands ? Is it safe ? Will be product reach to me in perfect condition ? Or i should just order from a shop ?

Not all brands offer online purchasing in their official websites sad.gif
For Dell, you can bargain online and get discounts brows.gif Don't worry about the delivery, if the goods are damaged upon receive, Dell will change a new one for you nod.gif

For the other brands, its better that you buy from shop/ buy from reputable sellers in Garage Sales LYN. Either way, do make sure that the box is completely sealed (meaning that its not opened before) before you pay for it nod.gif

For Asus N55SL, it's stated i3,i5,i7 in the processor field and HD 1366X768 / Full HD 1920x1080 in the resolution field in the official website.

Does this mean the specs will be updated later or it's optional to update it or not ?

If I'm looking for bang-for-buck (better price:performance), which brands will be a better choice ? Acer vs. Asus vs. Lenovo

I see most of the users will choose Asus for bang-for-buck ? Is it because the performance is better compare to Acer and Lenovo ?

Where can i get a pricelist which contains most of the notebook price ?

The specs on the official website is not accurate one laugh.gif
It just list out all the possible specifications with this laptop, but doesn't mean that you'll get them here in M'sia...

You can refer here for a compilation of virtually all the current notebooks: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2026498

For AMD Radeon™ HD 7730M DDR3 2GB (Inspiron 15R Special Edition) vs. NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 555M 2GB DDR3 VRAM (Asus N55SF) , which grahpic card has better performance ?

What is the difference between i7-3612QM (Inspiron 15R Special Edition) and i7-2670QM (Asus N55SF) ?

I am still considering which one to buy, Dell Inspiron 15R Special Edition seem to be a smarter choice but personally I don't like the design. So I'm very confuse which one to choose. lol ~

Can you explain a bit why NN55SF > N55SL ? I read your post before this ~
