This information comes from a website in china that I've extract. The models are on updated 2012-3-16. it is not reliable now as Lenovo was supposedly wait for windows 8 and also the driver for Nvidia GT 650m which are not available at that time. Since the website do update its contained (LENOVO US). so, hurray  .

since Lenovo Malaysia is renown for being RM200 to RM300 cheaper than asus N series i7 both 1st and 2nd generation of sandy bridge, i believe it will be strip to a modest 1600x900 or a minimum 1366x768 screen plus an option for basic 4GB DDR3 RAM upgradable to 8GB. A cheaper DVD drive will also be used to reduce price. we just need to pray that Y580 will not downgrade its option to Nvidia GT 650m  because, at the date of announcement, they did say that they gonna use Nvidia GTX 660m.

The trouble now is it availability in the market. From the website, several dealer and reseller did mention roughly that Y580 will be release to the market around mid/late June  . possibility of it being drag to July is questionable  .

i will continue my research  on Lenovo Y580 and update the news if there any.
