I need opinion on asus u32u-rx015v? Is it good?
*
hmm.gif
It all depends on what you're using that subnotebook for...
If you're into very long battery life, and you're only using the laptop for normal office tasks and web surfing, then its a great choice, especially when it comes with 2 years warranty brows.gif

However, if you're planning on doing more, then there are better picks out there, such as the:
12.5"
Samsung 3 series NP350U2B, i3-2350M + Intel HD3000@RM2099, 4GB, 500GB, W7HP

I need a netbook/portable laptop for under rm1000 price.

Any recommendations?

Can consider these, FreeDOS versions are quite rare at this time laugh.gif

anyone can help me decide between these two models? in serious dilemma here. I'm an architecture student so i'll be using a lot of photoshop/illustrator, CAD programmes, 3Ds max, Rhino etc. And i'm an avid gamer as well. Please help me!  sad.gif

I know GE60's gpu will beat G53sx's one. But by how much? GE60 only has two slots for ram upgrades while G53sx has 4 (one is internal). I'll be upgrading my ram to the max too, so hopefully 12gb if possible. And the GE60 looks kinda ugly imo. Which one is better? for performance and for my wallet  laugh.gif
*
hmm.gif
Not really sure because there isn't much benchmarks yet..
But the MSI GE60 does have newer processor and GPU nod.gif, and the Asus G53x-1208v is EOL-ed already, it might not be that easy to find... Perhaps you could wait for the upcoming G series if you can wait~

Hello guys. Anyone wanna enlighten me about why Alienware is not good? I am on the neutral side. Not siding fans or haters. Just curious because an Alienware dealer told me not to get one. So, I'm assuming he could be serious? Haha.
*
Every brand/laptop has its pros and cons..
For Alienware, each unit is a lot more expensive for the specifications you get if compared to, say, an Asus or Sager nod.gif But then for that price you get generally better built and warranty support (bling-bling is just an extra since not many fancies them) nod.gif

hi, TJ,, wta about m14x battery life
*
That's a subjective question laugh.gif
It depends on the specification of the M14x, and of course, the usage..
Based on NBC's review: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Alienw...ok.54257.0.html

The M14x (i7-2630QM) was capable of lasting 4.5hours with Wifi on, medium brightness and web surfing

what's the battery life like? 4 hour possible?
*
Again it depends on your usage nod.gif
According to NBC's review here: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Lenovo...ok.64656.0.html
The G770, which is running on an dual-core i7 processor managed to hit 2 hours and 50 minutes with Wifi on and medium brightness settings..
Since our version of the G770 is running on a lower-clocked i5 processor, you can expect slightly longer battery life... maybe 3 hours + or so nod.gif

Haha. Thank you for saying! biggrin.gif Anything else that I should know of?
*
What else would you want to know? laugh.gif
Actually it all depends on the user..
For me, since I'm quite a noob in hardwares and stuffs, warranty is more important to me than everything else...
However its a different case if you are like most of the sifus here - you know your way around laptops/ desktops etc.
Most of them could easily fix minor laptop problems themselves, so warranty is not much of a problem, which is why most of them would prefer especially Sager laptops that offer the most bang for buck~

I have done some surveys and come out the below list.
Could experts here to suggest which one is better to go ? thank you so m uch
usage :
simulator which requires high processor and memory /moderate gaming/movies and net surfing only.
performance/quality/after sales service ? which one is better ?
MSI
GE620DX-FHD [15.6" Glare, 1920 x 1080, Intel HRV i7-2670, NVIDIA GT555M, 8GB DDR3, 750GB, Win7 Premium] - RM3399

Lenovo
IdeaPad Y570, i7-2630QM + Nvidia GT555M + Bluray@RM3399[JBL], Lenovo P350 headset
Y470, i7-2670QM + Nvidia GT550M (2GB)@RM2799[JBL], W7HP, 4GB, 750GB (5400rpm), Lenovo P350 headset OR 2 years warranty
Y480, i7-3610QM + Nvidia GT640M LE(Fermi)@2999[JBL] *upcoming

Acer
V3-571G-73614G1T, i7-3610QM + Nvidia GT640M@RM2899, 4GB, 1TB
*
Depends on your usage, do you really need a FullHD screen?
If no, (and if you are very concerned about after sales service) then can consider:
15.6'
HP dv6-6c19TX, i7-2670QM + AMD HD7690M XT@RM3099[Beats], 4GB, 750GB (5400rpm) + 3 years onsite warranty

14"
Lenovo
Y470, i7-2670QM + Nvidia GT550M (2GB)@RM2799[JBL], W7HP, 4GB, 750GB (5400rpm), Lenovo P350 headset OR 2 years warranty + 3 years onsite warranty

Are the free gifts are standard for every shop ? I saw quite a number of shops selling MSI.  Are they all authrized dealers ?

Thanks.

Yeah, MSI laptops are good, but I'm not sure about their service quality, you'll get better feedbacks from actual users nod.gif
Do PM MSI-MY or Sanko for more information on MSI, they are MSI's representatives here in LYN brows.gif
