2. Budget - Below 3k
3. Usage - Play Diablo 3, surfing, watch movies
4. Preferred laptop/screen size - 15.6", res 1600x900

I want to get a new laptop, mainly to play Diablo 3 since my old one couldn't support the game. I did some research and my ideal laptop would be Asus N55Sl-S2064v. The only problem is it's being phased out and out of stock. And i am not sure if there is other option with similar spec.

If there is really none, i might need to settle with lower resolution, since most full HD ones exceed my budget. Or if gurus know anywhere still selling N55 please let me know.

3. Usage : Viewing HR pictures and editing using Ps and Lr and probably watch some movies.
4. Preferred laptop/screen size : 15"6 - 16" prefer a matt screen instead of glossy as I hate the reflections on the screen.

Are there any else than the Vostro series? Scrap the matt screen for this as not much selections at this budget.

This is for my little sis who is studying architecture, so i prefer it to be compact but still packs a punch. i'm currently looking at this

spec:-
i5 1.6Ghz (2.3Ghz turbo boost)
16g express cache (ssd performance?)
1tb hdd
nvidia 620m 1g ddr3 (retail unit at lyp has this card although at web says amd 7550m)
ram built in 4g ddr3 + 2g ddr3 slotted (have 1 slot only)

my only concern is the cpu being at 1.6 ghz, can handle heavy autocad? or u guys have better recommendation?

haha...yeah.. u r rght.. de spec dat i wan n require not suit wit ultrabook spec.. but really love de look..  ~.~
btw, all model dat u suggest already in my mind.. juz de mobility make me stil hesitate to go gaming laptop.. haiyaa... juz realize RMBP suit me well.. but i never use mac os b4... hmmm..
yeah.. msi laptop quite ok for me..
btw, y gaming laptop not using ssd?? i think de weight will be lesser if equipped wit ssd.. summore ssd more powerful..

Hi there, I am looking for a 14"/15" laptop with at least 1600X900 display resolution, i have been looking around the hp, lenovo, dell, and asus' site, but found none that fits the bill.
Preferably with at least 3 hours of battery life as well, spec isn't too important, as most laptops nowadays have considerable power already.. price below RM2800.

No brands preferences, but i would like to avoid acer if possible,

Need recommendation:

Spec: recommend for girl (studying)

I would like to know what's the difference between these two model. The spec of N56 seems better than N55 but why is it cheaper?
