QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Jun 5 2012, 08:45 PM) time release protein can b consumed anytime of the day as long as u think u don't have the time to continuously take protein meal. QUOTE(alien9 @ Jun 5 2012, 07:05 PM) Time release is usually being consume before sleeping; where it can provide your body protein during recovery process. Other than that, do refer here http://www.muscleandstrength.com/expert-guides/whey-protein |

QUOTE(kubuk @ Oct 4 2012, 04:55 PM) How was the combat? how you take it? When and how much you get it?QUOTE(MugenK20A @ Oct 4 2012, 04:58 PM) Actually taking AA got not much OBVIOUS effects. I take them post and pre workout and also after my last meal of the day, some time before sleep. If I take my pre workout supplement (Hyper FX) I will not take it.For the first few months I take it with my HB, I felt there is a good recovery on the next day. I do Mon-Wed-Fri and power lifting routine last time. Recovery was good. IDK whether its the Protein or the AA. Now, I take AA too but IDK whether the effect still there because I'm doing another routine now. I haven't stop using AA since I got it. Hope it help. QUOTE(deadmau5 @ Oct 4 2012, 06:47 PM) Man I've got all kinds of GOODS about this protein. I used a 5lbs of Nitrotech before I get HB and Nitrotech is as good as garbage. I take Nitrotech in the early days just when I start lifting and the recovery is sh*t. Sorry for being harsh but thats for me. Some said it was good, but to me its a total waste of money. And I got it at GNC which is VERY expensive. Then someone intro me Hydrobuilder. I give it a try and I was amazed. I've been using it for half a year and it still work in term of recovery and building me muscle. IDK whether its my routine but all my lifting stats either maintained or increase (I got a lowerback injury few months ago and I stopped heavy lifting). After 2 months I hit the bench and deadlifting again and still I get my 80% of my 1RM. In term of recovery its very effective because I do powerlifting back to when I just started using it and really the next workout session I can hit heavier and heavier and not stopping until I got a lower back injury.. In term of muscle building, OK LAH, at least a 7/10 because I got around 18-22 bf %. Only my arms, shoulder and thigh show less bf and lean muscle. I NEVER (or leasssssstttttt) do my biceps and triceps. I only do Squat, Rows, Deadlift, Overhead and Bench press before my injury. My humble review. *Heavy is very personal here because its relative to my 1RM. So please don't flame me, I'm still OTW to improving =) |

QUOTE(deadmau5 @ Oct 5 2012, 02:24 AM) Nice review bro. But hydrobuilder seems quite expensive at rm5 per serving compared to whey at about half it's price. Do you think a beginner 3 months into lifting will need it as a post workout? Or will whey+milk do the trick for me? I honestly don't recommend beginner to use supplement straight away. I've got some beginner friends who are just so eager to be next Mr Olympia. Just few months in gym and already talking about supplement they can't even pronounce and also steroid. I was one of the kind last time but now I realize what is most important - FORM. I emphasize so much on lifting form even my girlfriend (just started for a week) says I'm a form Nazi. One you get the right a correct form then you go heavier and heavier. After that we go to supplementation. |

QUOTE(alien9 @ Oct 9 2012, 10:44 PM) What you said is so true. The mass marketing of supplementation makes newbie thinks that supplement is a must. In fact, they think that they only need to buy supps and spend in the gym for 2 hours a day and you'll be the next Mr. O. PT are dumbo, in my gym the coach who teaches Squat or Rows would never correct their form. Plus I saw them doing bench on smith machine, was like 25+ (15x3) each side. One person pressing 3 person supporting.Speaking of form, I was at the gym doing curl (I hate arms day) and there is a PT teaching a guy how to squat. What surprise me is that the PT have his squat form very good (almost all PT in my gym don't) but his teaching method is bad. How come you increase the poundage when the new guy form's is sucks? You can't do that in my book. I never really rely on supports, I just do how I can for now. Maybe one day when I press 150kg above I would need one spotter. Currently my bench still below 100kg QUOTE(darklight79 @ Oct 9 2012, 10:46 PM) There are 2 I would recommend. Protein powder, creatine. The rest is gravy like multivites and fish oil. People are too eager to knock off basic supplementation but you have a point where people overdo it and treat it like magic. True, not forget about T-booster and other kinds which I have no idea what they are. I think this 5lbs of Muscle Infusion is my last tub of protein and after this I would follow your way and take less supplement and depends on real food. QUOTE(kubuk @ Oct 9 2012, 10:51 PM) I tend to depend on pre workouts too though. I can't seem to dig deep enough anymore nowadays without it. I have my PWO in my gym bag always. Got 2 to be exact - Hyper FX and Cardio Igniter. I only use them when I really have no motivation or lack of energy (due to less sleep). This is especially on Shoulder and Chest day. Legs sometime.Oh btw. I don't know what happened to my creatine but it sorta like clump together in the container. Don't think it's wet. Maybe oxidised? But doesn't matter right? Your mind is the best Pre-Intra workout supplement (and my gf too) |
