Hello sirs.

I've started gyming (doing the stronglifts 5x5 program) for 2-3 weeks now and I started at 56kg 180cm.

I'm trying to get enough protein in my diet (about 1XXgrams right?) but the supplement I've been taking (Horley's bodybuilding) is giving me "side effects".

I've been getting diahrea (however you spell it D:) sometimes after taking it with milk (but not always), but it is somewhat consistent (like once a week). I don't think I'm lactose intolerant...

Also the supplement tastes horrible. (sweet and a little salty for some reason). Any other supplements that is recommended that I can try out to see if my stomach agrees with it or not?

You don't need the mass gainers man. Go for the real food. It is not easy to consume them in the first place but you have to and you need to. Just think, if you need mass gainers to increase your weight from 56kg to 60kg, how about when you want to increase from 70kg-80kg (muscle, not fat)? You want to consume 3 servings of mass gainers a day?

gulp.

Good point though.

That means that I have to consume more than 3 meals a day?

Its good if you already notice it. 3 large meals or 6 small meals. For me, I don't have any problem consuming 2 very large meals but for skinny guys, knowing that they cannot eat lots of food in one serving, 6 small meals should be ok.

yea wei.

Finding it hard to consume large meals.

Thanks for clearing things up. I personally find that there's so many differing views on nutrition and working out (lot of folk intuition involved), hence why I'm rather confused. Thanks for guiding.
