QUOTE(ThunderGod_Cid @ May 29 2012, 12:35 AM) Hey mate, Hey, no worries. I'd guess my Renault mechanics are familiar with servicing a Renault engine, but it's a good point to keep in mind. I doubt most Waja's were serviced and repaired at a Renault SC, so the by now 7 to 9 year old engines are probably in a bad shape.Sorry if any of the forumers offended you. Indeed the Waja with the renault 1.8 engine is driveable. But what you may or may not know is that our local mechanics ain't got the balls to maintain these engines due to lack of spare parts(still obtainable, though) and also lack of knowledge. no doubt this car can cruise at the speeds you mention before the engine run out of balls. It would've been a good engine if there are mechanics well versed with the renault engine, otherwise, just too bad. I've had my hand on a number of them and noticed that most of them had leaky valve cover gaskets due to lack of maintenance, or at least the mechs refuse to change them. Same goes to the Proton Savvy. If you are looking for a car I would ask you to go for a decent looking Waja 4g18p which has close to a bulletproof robust engine. Going for another car is not an option (otherwise I'd be looking into the Preve for example), as you simply get used to a <4 meter car that can easily seat 7 and feels like a conti, albeit in slow motion. It is also incredibly easy to get into for older people, which is useful (low floor + high roof + sliding doors). Ah well, it's not too weak to move along, and high fuel consumption isn't a big issue with the fuel prices here. This post has been edited by kadajawi: May 31 2012, 02:25 AM |

I do have in hand a MAzda Lantis that is going for RM23k, '97 model transplanted with a 2.0 V6 engine with full of torque and smoothness satisfaction if you're interested.Going for another car is not an option (otherwise I'd be looking into the Preve for example), as you simply get used to a <4 meter car that can easily seat 7 and feels like a conti, albeit in slow motion.
