Just received the black ipad case I ordered from Nicety. I like it. My previous case which I can't use is a Switcheasy Canvas, and I thought I'd try something slimmer.

First impressions, I think the quality is comparable, and the price much lower than the Canvas of course. Lets see how it holds up. My Canvas plastic edge is broken. Hope this lasts longer.

How ur canvas edge broken ?

I really have no idea man, I don't take it out a lot, maybe max 10-15 times for the whole year I've used it. I carry it in my messenger bag and I was surprised to see a hairline crack recently. Later it just snapped off. I take care of my iPad too, that's why its surprising. Maybe yours won't have the same problem, its probably just mine.

is it the shell that holds the ipad cracked ?

yep, the top edge and bottom edge, top edge just snapped off.

Mine is 3rd generation one so i hope don't have this problem

Hopefully not lah, I'm still using the canvas, its still secure even if its broken

Its an ipad2 casing, but fits my new ipad quite snugly. Not encountered any problem so far, and the quality is just superb.
Good minimalist hard case and doesnt add heft or thickness onto the ipad =D

10-15 times is quite often actually, I think the case is not designed for frequent removal because of the tight and rigid fitting. I have notl taken it out 3 times, which created 2 cracks. however this was easily resolved by applying super glue before it the crack gets worse. But should let the glue fully cure before using it again. Except for the glue streaks, it still looks as good as new.

3 times and crack? wow, that says a lot about the quality. Never had a problem with their iphone cases though... im sure I took it out less than times. Maybe I didn't notice the cracks, is yours the new gen model?

old model, for ipad 2. been using it for almost year until recently. I do disagree with you on the quality though. I think their quality is good, as except for those cracks, everything else looks as good as new. And I have used many of their cases for iphone before, still in very good condition but with scratches. Probably not designed to remove and install frequently, thats all.

Yeah, I'm a switcheasy fan as well, I use their cases for my 3gs and 4, and never had a problem. But taking it out 3 times, and crack? Sorry to say, as much as I like the brand, the Canvas is not up there with the rest. At sub-RM200 a pop, it should be more durable than that. Just sayin'.

After googling, its apparently a manufacturing defect, too bad mine just cracked now. Too late for a replacement. Oh well.

I hope Nicety's case fair better, cause I wouldn't want to be restricted to just one case and one brand.

mine has a latch at the end to avoid it from sliding and activating the wake magnet. Got it from a forumer who claimed he bought it in January.. luckily mine has a latch/clasp. Feels great! Got it at RM 80... hahahaha second hand.. but I don't see any defects..
