You should have done some reading about overclocking first before even thinking of buying your parts. You did the exact opposite and you lack a LOT of experience, too much to explain.

Go do a google search on how to overclock on your board.

Your processor.
Idle freq = 1.6Ghz
Turbo = You set Ghz

OC = lower stability, so to test for stability, have to stress it using programs like Prime95. Need to monitor temps, vcore, and whether the frequency can be maintained that high under stress.
Overclock to 5Ghz then browsing internet = no bsod = does not mean STABLE, need to see how it handles when under stress (eg prime95)

Overclocking is NOT overclock to 5Ghz, no BSOD. Done.
Overclocking is change settings, stress test, monitor temperatures/voltage.

It is usually not necessary to overclock too much. You risk reducing the lifespan of your processor, high heat + high electricity usage, instability.

SUMMARY:
Google how to overclock on your board + testing for stability
Google Prime95
Monitor temps using programs like HWMonitor + CPU-Z (for Frequency + Vcore reading)

Do it slowly, don't go 4.5Ghz -> 5Ghz straight away. Step by step 4.5 - 4.6 - 4.7...

When you overclock always do in small incremental and need a lot of patience. It may take days to reach the highest Ghz with stability which they run the Prime95 for 24 hrs. And doesn't mean that 1 system specification will have the same overclock with the another system with the same specs.

AIDA64 Extreme Edition too have a System Stability Test which you can monitor your temp, fans & voltages.

Stable means no BSOD, auto restart, errors when put under at least 1 hr of stress test... go get prime95, do blend tests. Be aware of your temperatures.

Normal la, under stress will be hot. What cooler are you using? OC must make sure stable under stress and temperatures stay within 70c/80c (up to you to decide the upper limit)

To check max temperature and to see if stable when OCed. Length of test is up to you. I would say 30-60 or 90 minutes.
OC may be stable under light load, but when full load, it might become unstable. Prime95 tests the full load part.

Yes, and it can be quite a big amount when you exceed ~4.3Ghz

This thread was about OCing. At least you know the temperatures of Non OC then can compare to with when OCed

You sure 3.4Ghz 70c using H80? I get ~66c using TX3 2600k @ 4.3Ghz.

Ambient temperature was 28c got ~66c prime95. Ambient 31c got ~71c prime95.
TX3 standard single fan full speed. Thermalfusion400 thermal paste
