ok i try overclock my cpu using the asrock tuner software to 5ghz but suddenly blue screen appear (memory dump), after that my PC auto restart.

and i press delete to go inside the bios setup..then i see there is only 4.5ghz on oc tweak turbo ? why i cant oc 5ghz ? is it because of my mobo ?

voltage set to auto
PLL set as low as possible (1.3XX if i m not wrong)

then set to 4.8ghz and set 5.0ghz in axtu
correct me if i m wrong

What Vcore are you using? Don't say auto at 5Ghz. Too low Vcore = BSOD. Too much excessive Vcore = chip fried
If going above 4.2Ghz, better use manual or offset Vcore. Not all processors can exceed 4.8Ghz stable at any Vcore setting.

Do it slow, read up tutorials on overclocking Sandy Bridge/ Your board.

i know ppl dun recommend auto but auto do very accurate vcore for me
1.424v or 1.417, when i go below this, straight freeze of bsod

Make sure you do sufficient stress test too. Prime95 - blend tests for example. From my testing, sometimes BSOD comes within minutes, sometimes within 1 hr. sometimes calculation error, but no bsod


The tutorial i read up uses approx
4.5GHz @ 1.24v ~ 1.27v
4.7Ghz - 4.9GHz @ 1.35v

So, 5Ghz should need 1.4v+

where to set VCORE ? on the asrock tuner software ? or at bios ??

Not sure about that. But ASUS AI Tuner settings are temporary. The only way was to change settings in BIOS.
Software = test different voltages quick without rebooting. BIOS = changed settings here stays
Might be same for ASRock.

u find in cpu overclocking section, select load setting and choose 4.8ghz, then find vcore set auto, got a thing level 1,2,3,4,5, select level 5, PLL select lowest

i want setting for 5.0ghz

you cannot set 5.0ghz in asrock uefi
btw whats your cooling? you look like duno overclocking will increase production of heat

i think u better stay at 4.8ghz
go uefi and set to 4.8ghz voltage to auto and go to axtu and set to 5.0ghz

already set it on bios oc tweaker 4.8ghz...but it seems not stable...my Hz is changing2
