QUOTE(smwah @ Apr 15 2012, 07:28 PM)
I understand that CFE is a very good engine. But it is worth if I go buy the executive AT model w/o CFE? Preve is so hot bcoz of the CFE, but how bout w/o CFE. The cost is about 10k diff between non cfe and cfe.
Coming to non cfe, how is this car would preform? So far only got flx 1.6 cvt. If compare with persona H line, saga 1.6 cvt flx and this exe model. How good it fare?
*
I think it will still performing good, although surely not to the CFE level. At that price with the features included, it's quite worth for 62k (I actually booked it instead of CFE version), and according to the spec, IAFM+ consume lesser petrol (which is important I think?).

If choosing between Saga FLX 1.6, Persona H, and Preve - My choice would be Preve, simply because it's value for money.

I think it is not using the one in Saga FLX SE. It's IAFM+. Also the Executive one is slightly lighter (not so much) so I think the IAFM+ engine should be quite OK.

I also read some review for the IAFM+ model and they seems to be surprised by the performance.

No, no IAFM+ in Exora Bold... Exora Bold comes with CPS engine or CFE engine.

Thanks for comment. How responsive for non cfe any improvement for the engine itself or tuning? The size and build of the car has nothing much to complain, but this engine is good enough for smooth and running in city and highway. I drove vios, city wise is fun to drive coz it very responsive and light feel, for highway, it is not so solid feel if compare to waja. I hope this non cfe can both feature ligh at city and firm at highway. For waja I had no complain at highway for 130km plus minus but for city it feels like pulling a cow to move. The car can move but u feel like pushing it to move.
No complain for cfe for its torque, is more like 1.8 or 2.0 engine. So basically no comment on it except it cost 10k compare with non cfe.
The interior could be better, i just dun like the gear glove area. It could be better like puting the dial button at the side and the arm rest make a sleek along the gear side . The Hu unit color tone is abit out with the dash board. I still prefer waja steering a bit oval shape.
Anyway is a good design car, just it could be better for the interior design. The fog light make like Tuah would be great plus cos u seldom see fog light in rectangular shape. But for round shape u can see alot.
I hope MAT79 can give comment on non cfe for preve.

It is only stupid if it's in Proton.  People complaining the push start not like KIA Forte that have proximity sensors.

Strange, I haven't seen anybody complain o bash y it is priced so cheap for a C segment car. At least 92k ma. Zzzzzzz

Exora Bold only comes with two engine:
The CFE for premium variant
The CPS for non-premium variant
The IAFM+ was never use for exora

I test drive the saga flx that use the IAFM+ performance wise is adequate for that saga. But abit laggy response when push the pedal. For those who doesnt mind have a slower acceleration, IAFM+ preve is sufficient

I really wish this Preve can change people mindset about Proton quality
Drivetrain already good, safety also up to par, hope the quality also good

Part of marketing, very common. It'll be more useful if they show behind the scene, the technology and engineering to the public.  Much more informative i think.
*
QFT. They should really do it. At least the public would know just how much effort was put in.

Agreed...

Added on April 15, 2012, 6:54 pmYou know what would make it a good marketing?

Get Jeremy Clarkson to endorse this. Now THAT will really be a challange... if he gives thumbs up then u knw all the other average idiot will buy it too... lolz...
*
O. M. G. If the really did that, everyone would become insta-fan boys. Lol.

Colour options now narrowed down to white/silver/black. Lol. Somehow the 'shoped black looks nice.

God, I'm so fickle laugh.gif

Woot ... It's my fault for causing the confusion in Exora Bold. Indeed, there is no IAFM+ in Exora Bold.

I checked the proton website and it stated Proton Saga FLX SE is using IAFM (doesn't have the +), surely there are some difference with the + version, no?

Better durability + adaptation to the CVT gearbox. Otherwise more or less same like the IAFM

if u wan more response in city and highway drive as well, better go to cfe model..bcoz the preve iafm+ is around 80kg heavier than pe h line, but the engine output almost same..so power to weight ratio is disadvantage for preve iafm+..

Dear Forte,

In less than 24hrs from this moment...your death will be imminent. After the launch of elantra & tomorrow the preve...u know very well deep inside you that you no longer will be considered...ppl will least think about you. Sad...but true...your reign will finally come to an end...
But...in this few hours..before it happen...if words or sentences can describe, you are at least to me the best thing that ever happen to my Malaysia automotive world. You are world's perception changer, game changer, trend setter, a must to be in benchmark list, a new defination for "value for money", single hand reviving your company's name, shaken your competitors heart, you filled up the roads unbelievably, give unheard of features to the ordinary folks & prove to basher that sometimes..they too can be wrong.
Sigh...but nothing can stop God's greater plan. Forte...be it in me, your fans, your owners, your competitors, your basher, your enemies..deny all we can...but you are to us a true winner. From the day your are designed & born..you have accomplish what exactly you are meant to.."crosses everybody hearts & be forever remembered".
If i were to die soon too..I would like you to know...your are the best car i ever had in my life.

Sayonara..rest in peace..all hails to you.

From your proud owner.
