Found this case on xda forums. Wondering if anyone knows if its purchasable here? Quite like how the design is left-sided.

Haha, thanks to Uncle Benny I'm going to try ICS Stunner today. Also thanks to kamarulhairi, I think I'm going to spend the RM 140 for the SGP glas.t protector. The difference it definitely noticeable!

No such problems on stunner 4.3
Very stable

Thanks for the heads up! Middle of downloading 4.3, but cancelled already. Now to wait for the 4.4 to upload...

just got on ICS Stunner 4.3... HOLY CRAP THIS IS A HUGE WORLD OF DIFFERENCE!

Especially with tablet mode... now I can really use Note with one hand.

One problem though, somehow my Celcom SIM is not connecting at all, is this due to the STK not implemented yet?

Try taking out sim n put it back
Restart phone
Nothing to do with Stk
If is data connection check whether data enabled at settings/wireless network/mobile network or recheck apn settings
I see you just couldn't wait for ver 4.4
*
Yeah. Don't see the upload at all but already prepare all the steps, so i flashed 4.3 first to get the hang of it.

Unfortunately no luck at getting Celcom connection back after following steps above. Might need to downgrade back to GB Rom if I can't get it back.

Hm... tried with Maxis simcard in my Note, and Stunner can detect + connect, however with my Celcom Broadband simcard it will say connect but "no internet connection."

Can't live without data plan access so I think I will just reflash GB ROM. Fastest way from ICS -> GB is to use PC ODIN and flash KK*series stock firmware, is that right?

Weird then.. my Celcom Broadband simcard really won't connect. Headache de...

QUOTE(DaMyst @ Apr 8 2012, 04:54 PM)
You don't need to go that far back to KK* firmware, just to reflash to GB Rom... I think Benny and JJamain posted the link before... Here is the link again... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1552435
*
Ah.. I plan to clean install the KK firmware, reroot then move to latest Cassies LiteROM actually.

broadband and normal phone sim settings are different.
Can your original Celcom Broadband sim card make calls?
*
QUOTE(DaMyst @ Apr 8 2012, 05:01 PM)
I have been flashing the LC1 (I like LC1 because it comes with a pit file but you can try the LC2 if you like from the link) before I move to other ICS Roms... They come with root... All you have to do is to flash the CWM over it and you are good to go...

Added on April 8, 2012, 5:04 pm

That was going to be my next question... Can you use a broadband sim on the note? And if so, what settings do I have to make, since you clearly mentioned about broadband and normal phone sims having different settings...
*
No, I didn't take any voice plan. Suspect that might be the problem. I only signed up for data plan because I'm still using my prepaid for calls.

Tried to search thru xda thread also no help, but there was one guy with same issue as me.

That means the simcard is supposedly only for tablets (those that couldn't make calls like iPad).
If you use that on a Smartphone, then there are chances that it might not work. Some telcos like to restrict such usage.
*
Well I've been using it on my Note since I got it... no problems with data access until I flashed ICS Stunner. A little disappointed I can't use it.

He is NOT restoring back to GB rom from recovery. It is a different case. he is using Odin to flash GB again. Don't confuse him

Maybe your credit already run out on your broadband. It is unlikely it can work on Maxis and cannot work on Celcom
*
Checked Celcom site, still got 3.5GB left on this month's cap... unlikely to be that issue.

Restored stock GB ROM KKA from ICS Stunner. Rerooted and updated to latest Malaysia LC2 firmware only managed to get Celcom data connection running but seems to be super flaky for some reason.

Now I'm just going to pray for the best.... dunno why Celcom Broadband SIM so mafan one.

Still no idea why Celcom broadband won't work. Luckily my sister has Maxis Broadband and after testing her SIM in my Note, data access works fine... in fact much faster than Celcom's tongue.gif.

Now going to try again with my own SIM... if cannot again I really dunno what to do.

Premium Suite isn't out yet sweat.gif

Also, update on my issue, Celcom broadband really cannot work not sure why. Can't even send or receive SMS in fact. Already made a report to them on my issue. Hopefully can resolve or i might just change to Maxis.

Hi all and good morning.

Just a short update on my connection issue. Looks like my area just has plain shitty Celcom coverage rather than the ROM fault. Now at office and no problem accessing data.

Now going stick with stock LC2 ROM for the time being. Will try the beta 4.4 stunner this weekend

Bah, the connection died again after 2 hours. Had to reset the data packet to make it work again. Might try with Maxis if it happens again.

Well, as a first time flasher it's gonna be hard to understand all the terms immediately.

I suggest reading up about CWM function and purpose first, as that's the main tool you will needs to use in the long run.
