Trying to run it down for recalibration on stock LC2 after one full day of usage...

Yup, still on stock LC2 rooted after last week's crazy attempt at Stunner.

To be frank, not sure if I want to flash Stunner anymore because after applying V6 Supercharger script, LC2 is pretty damn smooth for me.

Of course, battery consumption is that good also due to removing Social Hub + WiFi Sharing Manager. Pretty much decreased battery life drain quite a bit. Before I removed those, one day at work = 60% battery consumption over the day. After removing = 40-50% battery consumption only. These figures are with 3G fully on over the day (since no WiFi allowed at office).

And yesterday was even better due to strategic usage of Flight Mode over the day. That's why it's still alive now I guess.

WiFi Sharing Manager is for the Kies Air application IIRC. It enables the WiFi Direct function which allows phones to send data to each other over WiFi at speeds up 10MB/s(? can't remember exactly). Removing it will probably break Kies Air app, but if you have no usage at all for the feature, it's safe to remove it. You may also remove the Kies Air app as well too, but I left it in since it's not permanently loaded in to memory.

The only good thing about the feature is that it's great for sending big files wirelessly, but I seriously don't see myself needing that feature so I removed that.

Frankly, the biggest mistake Samsung made is that the WiFi Sharing Manager a permanently running background service along with SocialHub stuff even if you don't actually use it at all. Really retarded of them since it eats quite a bit of battery.

Oh.. okay. Guess the source I read it from was wrong.

Ahhh finally killed the battery after doing random things (copy file over wifi, watch video, play with Internet) after another three hours. Google Maps is great for battery killing btw.




Got the display to nearly five hours of usage... haha

Wait, this is using AA battery for power?

Oh wow, that's way cheaper than Yoobao Powerbank or its equivalent. Might be actually quite worth it if I can bring multiple sets of the battery and then exchange in to the case as needed.

LC2 is not directly rootable, so you will need to downgrade to an older firmware and then reroot.

About your SD card, did you try and see if it's fully original product?

You can do it directly on the phone as long as it's rooted and has busybox.

Pretty much how I did it for my own phone. No need to mess around with any apps.

Eh.. try to copy 64 GB worth of files to the card and see if it successfully completes. Fake ones will cut off at X GB where X is the real card capacity. Just saw a case of a guy buying a cheap WD external HDD only to find out it's a fake.
