Maybe we should hold another gathering/rooting beginners class next time haha. Anyways, I suggest all the beginners to read this first: http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/what-i...complete-guide/Gives you an overview primer of what exactly is CWM and explains all the basic function. Probably should get to typing a jargon/lingo guide too.

QUOTE(Superman7 @ Apr 14 2012, 10:14 AM) You're on Stock ROM LC2? Rooted? Yup, still on stock LC2 rooted after last week's crazy attempt at Stunner. To be frank, not sure if I want to flash Stunner anymore because after applying V6 Supercharger script, LC2 is pretty damn smooth for me. Of course, battery consumption is that good also due to removing Social Hub + WiFi Sharing Manager. Pretty much decreased battery life drain quite a bit. Before I removed those, one day at work = 60% battery consumption over the day. After removing = 40-50% battery consumption only. These figures are with 3G fully on over the day (since no WiFi allowed at office). And yesterday was even better due to strategic usage of Flight Mode over the day. That's why it's still alive now I guess.

QUOTE(Night Fury @ Apr 14 2012, 11:13 AM) Can you guys recommend me any screen protector? I want crystal clear, but must be anti fingerprint and scratch too (won't leave behind micro scratches when i use cloth to wipe it) I hear the Spigen SGP Ultra series is quite good for this. Can check this guy's thread for more info: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1747462

QUOTE(Superman7 @ Apr 14 2012, 11:28 AM) If I remove WiFi Sharing Manager, does it mean I can't do tethering on my phone anymore? WiFi Sharing Manager is for the Kies Air application IIRC. It enables the WiFi Direct function which allows phones to send data to each other over WiFi at speeds up 10MB/s(? can't remember exactly). Removing it will probably break Kies Air app, but if you have no usage at all for the feature, it's safe to remove it. You may also remove the Kies Air app as well too, but I left it in since it's not permanently loaded in to memory. The only good thing about the feature is that it's great for sending big files wirelessly, but I seriously don't see myself needing that feature so I removed that. Frankly, the biggest mistake Samsung made is that the WiFi Sharing Manager a permanently running background service along with SocialHub stuff even if you don't actually use it at all. Really retarded of them since it eats quite a bit of battery.

QUOTE(PrinceCaspien @ Apr 14 2012, 01:00 PM) it's ok so far. have been using this battery (18650=3.7V 2400mah) on my led torchlight for so long, now at least when i am not using my led flashlight, it can serve as my charger.... not AA it's 18650 battery cell which is commonly use on laptop battery. some backup charger in the market is using this kind of battery but selling at very high price. my set here cost me only... case RM25 http://www.suntekstore.com/goods-14002339-...+18650+Box.htmlbattery RM58 for 4pcs http://www.ebay.com.my/itm/251003429715?ss...984.m1439.l2649total only RM83 for 9600mah. Oh wow, that's way cheaper than Yoobao Powerbank or its equivalent. Might be actually quite worth it if I can bring multiple sets of the battery and then exchange in to the case as needed.

QUOTE(xyber9 @ Apr 14 2012, 03:55 PM) I have just got back my note from service center they change a new mother board. Android version 2.3.6 Baseband N7000DXLC1, Kernel 2.6.35.7-N7000DXLC2-CL1039404. How do I get back my root? Thanks LC2 is not directly rootable, so you will need to downgrade to an older firmware and then reroot. Download the guide below and read carefully: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment...=1&d=1331916742If you don't understand then can ask further. QUOTE(Superman7 @ Apr 16 2012, 08:02 PM) Eh.. try to copy 64 GB worth of files to the card and see if it successfully completes. Fake ones will cut off at X GB where X is the real card capacity.
