Uncle. Im doing my ICS Stunner custom rom tonight.
My only experience is doing Huawei X5 whereby I install CWM and run the update.zip from there.

Where can I find a detail and easy way to update to ICS Stunner.
Just show me the link and I will try to do it.
I heard some running Titanium backup using custom rom. Is this easy? I need the simplest way to do this.
Thanks.

Can I used CWM is I am from 2.3.6?
*
let me clear up some of ur doubts for fujkenasai and piumiu

ics stunner got an official website here http://team-passion.com/index.php/roms/gal...y-note-gt-n7000

1. u cant directly flash the .tar/.tar.md5 file type from cwm... only can be done by either odin (mobile/pc) mobile recommended
2. .zip files are to be used on cwm as cwm has the capabilities of reading the contents of .zip file format

simple way to flash into ics stunner

1. download ics repack from their site (700mb)
2. download ics stunner files from their website (200mb)
3. download midnote 3.1 kernel (from midnote thread in xda)
4. use mobile odin, picking ics repack as "open file"
5. still in mobile odin, pick the midnote kernel zimage file at kernel option at top
6. flash
7. go directly to cwm recovery
8. do a full wipe
9 flash the ics stunner zip file

NOTE: i held no responsibilities for any damages done from steps above, i really did the above steps with very minimal problem

yeah.

try downgrade... if possible get csc files and flash along with the respected build version as well.. if KL build, get csc for KL... hope it will have... use pc odin to do the downgrade... then download root toolkit from rootgalaxynote.com i dont recommend u to follow up the direct root for la++ version cos it will make the binary counter increased... browse through the guide on rooting there...

guys, can i get some opinion here... i'm looking for a new screen protector for my Gnote and previously it seems that xo skin is kinda popular but i'm also looking at the SGP's Ultra Oleo and Ultra Optics screen protector..
can someone tell me which is better?
*
xo skin looks brutal protection... i only use decent matte finish screen protector only brows.gif

ic... coz i really like the feel of a matte screen protector but dont wanna put the amoled screen to waste...
xo skin seems nice, just a bit pricey for one piece. SGP is giving two pieces. if xo skin can really last then i would be happy to get it instead
*
amoled or other screen type... not much matter to me when put SP, becos amoled is simply on their color clarity when u put on a max brightness which is a lot of us either reduce brightness or go for auto brightness (nvr had max brightness) to save more battery, higher brightness = more battery consumption (my opinion only)... i use auto brightness becos it will adjust the screen itself depending on ur surrounding, lowest brightness at broad daylight in the open leaves u no choice but to increase... same goes in a pitch black condition, u need to quint (did i use this word right?) cos its too bright

once again, my opinion only icon_rolleyes.gif

not using sp also can... even uncle benny nvr put on sp on his gnote, he even tried to scratch his gnote with car key...

Haha I put SP not because I scare scratch.Well,I dont like fingerprint.Makes my screen macam dirty tongue.gif

Wat issue?
*
well... without sp, i used my gnote about 1 month without it, sometimes my finger easily glide on the screen sometimes like a glossy normal screen... dunno how to say it here, also the light reflection what makes me hard to see it sometimes s-pen is like easily slide through the screen

matte... welll, good against reflection on screen, but for a long period of use, felt like a skin irritation at my fingertip (not confirmed), but sometimes finger didnt glide well from btm to top unless u make ur finger a bit hard, using s-pen to write felt like writing on paper but still need get used to it

sometimes i too feels like wanna take it off icon_idea.gif

without sp on, the phone feels great... like new... i'm just worried...

if i got the cash, i would have went for SGP Glas
*
oh... i know about the feeling of having sp or not especially for the touch type screen... i guess not much harm done without sp on is there since it is scratch resistance, almost like a gorilla glass... i still have another sp, could be mirror/glossy finish i bought from naix, along with the nillkin tpu case... my current matte sp is like a ripoff.. rm35 shakehead.gif

getting kinda bored these days... fooling around ICS roms... kinda miss MIUI and CM roms but not sure when gnote would be officially supported
*
yea... it does... somemore not that classy brand will peel it off whistling.gif

official ics rom? expect the release date would be somewhere in may or june, when it come it in april, surely will have bugs and such, if it really does, gonna try it out

QUOTE(kuntilanak @ Apr 12 2012, 03:30 PM)
I know how that feels. Mine with matted SP from day1. Very tempted to peel it off since it dulls up the display, unless I turn up the brightness. Currently at lowest to conserve battery. 1st time using it, with 50% brightness and nice live wallpaper running, full charge from 8 am become 20% by 4+pm.  shakehead.gif
*
wah... thats without wifi on was it? mine only wifi, during deep sleep (i guess), 8 hours = 20% battery, 100% connected to the internet all the time, i guess the phone keep itself synced
