hurm... how do i manage default application for opening files/links manually after ticked "use this as default" and disable the option to "use wallpaper as lockscreen background"?
not sure what to say for 2nd one about wallpaper... been wondering about this for long already Added on April 13, 2012, 3:34 am QUOTE(antu_biskut @ Apr 13 2012, 02:36 AM) im going to install rr v22 but as im on LC1 so need to downgrade to LA1 1st.. there should be a thread in xda about bootanimation, i think the guide is in there... i forgot about it already, u need a root capable explorer like es file browser and put the bootanimation.zip file onto designated directory, but that rom/kernel must support custom/3rd party bootanimation.... i done it before, sound cant be change as far as i know, but i dont bother about it anymore... good luck edit:yeyyy..successful flash to rocket rom v22..but guys how i want to replace/remove animation boot screen written rocket rom?? QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 13 2012, 07:00 PM) Wait for Chainfire to repack it first with proper root. If not it will be similar to the first LP1 Chinese leak scenario, and Chainfire warnings : say uncle benny, how do i differentiate i9220 and n7000? QUOTE: WARNINGS: - Flash at your own risk - This is a WIPE firmware, you will lose your data - This firmware cannot be flashed with Mobile ODIN - This firmware flash updates your bootloaders, and changes the identity of the phone to I9220. It is currently not possible to revert, and likely will not be until the official N7000 firmware is out. Even then, it is not sure. (This is about reverting bootloaders, you can still flash a GB firmware (mostly), but you're stuck with these bootloaders) - Bootloaders are flashed, this always creates a chance for FULL HARD BRICK. Only JTAG or mobo replacement can fix! - The firmware first boots in Chinese - For N7000 only, do not flash this on I9220 ! - Boot partitions are not available to Android, this means Triangle Away does NOT work to remove triangle and/or reset flash counter is it from the boot screen where it shows the phone model? |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 13 2012, 07:19 PM) Boot screen can be changed the white word before the initial samsung logo? but then whats the differences since u say "... identity changed to i9220"?infact all ICS roms are now based on i9220 model. Initial ICS roms ( the very first releases ) if you check the build info is shown as i9220. However subsequent newer roms, the rom cooks change it to N7000 |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 13 2012, 07:42 PM) No big deal but many users are so proud of N7000 they do not wish to see any sign of i9220 on their unit. that's why now all the ICS roms all the rom cooks change it to N7000 ( a deception I'd say) owh... n7000 was formerly addressed as i9220 isnt it, more like a predecessor of sgs2 |

QUOTE(kurogane @ Apr 14 2012, 01:09 PM) Oh wow, that's way cheaper than Yoobao Powerbank or its equivalent. Might be actually quite worth it if I can bring multiple sets of the battery and then exchange in to the case as needed. slight hassle to change it, need a screw driver to open up the case normally handyman would always bring screwdriver |

QUOTE(Duckies @ Apr 14 2012, 04:33 PM) kies air stores the pc who tries to access it... u must allow that particular pc in ur gnote so that its accessible from that pc, i would suggest u to use airdroid, 10 times better than kies air (javascript), airdroid uses 4 alphanumeric random/specified password and only 1 pc can connect to it at a time... highly recommended |

QUOTE(Duckies @ Apr 14 2012, 04:40 PM) i nvr really used wifi file transfer cos the free version is 1 file per transfer, mainly used to transfer files over wifi only, still prefer airdroid...heres the simple steps i can provide u 1. start kies air to ur home wireless 2. connect pc to that particular router/modem/access point within same network as kies air connected to 3. access the ip address/url shown by kies air 4. u should see access request pop up 5. allow it and u should be able to use it... airdroid is much simpler |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 14 2012, 05:50 PM) Just noted Alba19886 has released his updated ICS rom based on LP6 leak uncle benny, hows ur test on the pixelated dark scene? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1579301 I have tested his v2 of Lp5 just a day and was quite impressed with it. It is a leaner rom than Midnote v3.X but comes with Samsung Spen functions, Smemo etc I have just installed Stunner v5.ob an hour ago - I am very impressed - it is really a stunner. The best non TouchWiz enabled ICS rom I have ever tested. All the previous bugs in v4.5 is now gone. If you do not need the S Pen functions, Smemo this is the ICS rom to use. He has provided Freenote and Supernote as alternatives to S memo. You can select power button to select screenshot ( set it in Euphoria control/power). His rom is based on latest Android 4.0.4 which I think he is the only developer using it so far |

QUOTE(Duckies @ Apr 14 2012, 06:23 PM) By right it should work like that.Somehow it's not working for me.Finally managed to get some solution after Googling around. what rom u using? cos each country uses different wifi channel, world standard is around 1-11, some places up to 13 channels (maybe usa)Log into the router and change the "WIFI Channel" from "Auto Detect" to a specific channel (in my case I used Channel 6).I believe vice versa will work too (changing a specific channel to "Auto Detect" QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 14 2012, 06:25 PM) No issues at all - cannot see any such pixelation on black dark background. I have tested several other videos too including the faned ironman mkv - I supposed my unit is fine so... is banding on stock dxlc2 (malaysia) normal? http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2295425/+1740# |

QUOTE(Duckies @ Apr 14 2012, 06:44 PM) just let the setting to be auto-channel QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 14 2012, 06:49 PM) Due to nature of amoled slight banding will be there. But how serious varies among units. Attached mine on white like backgrounds. Do you see it cant... thats y i take the picture using another camera (webcam) cos if i save it as image/screenshot, banding wont be seen on other display... this is normal i guess? the banding in my picture? |
