I want to ask, what can I do if I am cheated in eBay?
I bought an iPhone 4s from ebay and the seller was very nice and he made me feel like its so secure plus he provided some nice photos.
eBay
The situation is like this, after I banked in into his account,he is like evaporated,I couldnt reach him afterwards,no matter I call/email or sms.
Then I found out those POSITIVE rating he got is actually from 3 different accounts created on the same day,I am very frustrated why people can do this kind of thing by just cheating ppl's hard earned money
What can I do?

He provided me with his info
MAYBANK : 1572-4103-7756
MAYBANK NAME : CHEAH HONG JOO

Has anyone of you encountered like this before?I am sorry I don't know this thread should be here or not because to me it's a real world issue.

Double, triple check whenever you want to purchase expensive stuff over the internet.
Also, if the deal is too good to be true, you better watch out and be extra careful.

COD will be the best way. Always remember DO NOT simply bank in your hard earn money into someone else account especially someone that you can't trust. Once bank in, hard to get back, most of the time, will never get it back. Even with positive ratings, also have to check where and who the ratings come from, those people who gave positive feedback genuine or not.

Report to police and ebay, if he's on Lowyat, try PM one of the moderators to get him on this thread (http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1579999) to avoid future buyers to be victims again.

Another tip is to google the account number, full name, phone number, email or any other details before banking in next time in case there were similar cases before. wink.gif

Why on earth can you simply bank in your money to someone you don't know and to a seller who only got a few so called positive feedbacks? Should be more cautious even if that person sounds nice and friendly to you.
