I'm planning to set up a home gym as well. My budget is around RM5k and I would like to purchase around 10 sets of dumbbells, barbells, weight plates and a bench. Unfortunately RM5k is not enough. I've asked a few sellers in KL and all of them told me the dumbbell sets alone cost around RM5k.

The bench cost around RM1250k in Malaysia whereas in the US you could get it less than that for the same model (http://www.amazon.com/Body-Solid-Incline-Decline-GFID31/dp/B002EEOOA2/ref=sr_1_1?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1342542091&sr=1-1&keywords=body+solid+bench). I know you guys might say I can't compare US price than the price in our own country but RM400 difference for the same bench is a lot in my opinion.
