Back to your question, unifi installation is free for the 1st 15m (white cable) from the FTB (white colour box which installed outside your house) to the place you setup your modem. For non-standard installation like Over-ceiling (black cable) will costs you RM170 for the First 30m and additional per metre is RM2 IF you go for standard installation, black cable is all for free no matter how long it is.

So in your case, it is depending on you to opt for standard or non-standard as Contractor can drill from the wall instead of go overceiling and it is also depends on where u decided to place your modem. Up or downstair.

Dear kamfoo,

1. From FDP to FTB is using black cable (Free no matter how long) and FTB to the brodband termination (15m) will be using white cable.

2. Over-ceiling by yourself? you need to get someone who can provide fibre optic cable to you in order to do it yourself. Else, it is quite hard to get fibre optic cable.
