After reinstalled my Windows XP and latest Samsung USB driver. Now I can't see my phone listed in Explorer as MTP. I can see from adb devices though. Any advise? Wanna bulk transfer files from my phone gallery.

I guess Galaxy Nexus is an exclusion because if you look at the previous nexus phones. Like HTC and Samsung (Again) they most probably will use their OEM hardware specifications.

Maybe Google this time, wants easy documentation and open source hardware since Android itself is Open-Source Software.

I have read that, and yeah thanks for sharing.

Samsung is 1 of the Open Hardware members also.

Sorry for the late response.

If you have activated your Google Play Music (then Google Music) account online, when you run your app on your phone, you wikl be prompted to select an account to bind into your phone's Google Play Music. After a while (provided you are online), your uploaded albums will magically appear in your phone.

As to how to activate your account online, try to Google for he steps. 1 of the sure working steps is provided by redmondpie.com by using Tor browser.

Dear sifus, should i get galaxy nexus ??? My only concern is the battery life ..... i usually do only web browsing during class in college in interval, barely play some apps ..that's all ....would that drain battery much ??  I heard that major drawback of GNEX is battery life ........
*
Get an external USB charger, around 2000mAh. Should be able to last you a whole day then.

*
Change from 4.0.4 back to stock? You mean custom 4.0.4 to stock 4.0.4 ROM?

Don't quite get you.

Anyway, just to be safe, it's better to select v4.0.4 as GNexT will push the insecure kernel into your phone. Imagine if the Kernel was older version... what might have happened?

On the front, it shows 4.0.4, but the actual mechanism inside the phone is running on 4.0.3. laugh.gif

hi, I'm new here. updated to 4.0.4 from here http://code.google.com/android/nexus/images.html

I got a little prob

Previously when i received an sms on my 4.0.2 yakjuxw, the status bar shows the notification of my received sms with an image of the sender on the left side. But after updating to 4.0.4, it seems that the images on the left of the sms notification in the status bar shows the icon of the app in grayish colour instead even though the photo in my contacts are still there. Is it because of the update? Or am i missing something here?  hmm.gif
*
I think previously you have some kind of app that display contacts photo in the notification bar. I can assure you, stock ICS doesn't show contact photo on sms, only the SMS app icon.

You mean Google music in my phone? I got..but can't seem to find any settings to upload/sync from library..
*
Upload can only be done from PC, not phone.

Sync is automatic, after you picked the correct account.

Google Play Music app is the default music player for ICS stock. No need to worry about installing it off Play Store. thumbup.gif
