QUOTE(caddilac @ Apr 12 2012, 05:39 PM) Tucson and Sonata are maintenance free. Not sure the Elantra though. Better check the owner's manual This is my first time hearing this bro. Thanks for the valuable info. http://paultan.org/2010/03/09/hyundai-tucs...pecs-confirmed/ All models will come with a six-speed automatic gearbox with tiptronic function. Developed in-house by Hyundai, this gearbox is said to be maintainence free. To back up the claim, Hyundai ran the gearbox for one and a half months, 24 hours a day, cycling through all six ratios. In that situation, the transmission lasted 300,000 km, so we can presume that it’ll last even longer with normal use. http://www.autoblog.com/2008/12/23/hyundai...peed-automatic/ The unit is also maintenance-free: the gearbox is 'filled for life' with automatic transmission fluid and needs no topping up, reducing servicing costs. Will definitely ask a few SA on this. Added on April 12, 2012, 5:56 pm QUOTE(jusjus88 @ Apr 12 2012, 05:43 PM) Just wondering if hyundai parts are easily obtainable? Any previous Hyundai users here? I'd been driving Accent for 7 years. No major issue. I'm going to test drive tomorrow Major issue after it reaches 200K recently maybe. Started to drink engine oil and radiator bocor. But then again, just took a less than 200 buck to settle all of these. To date, gearbox (touchwood) no issue at all. No jam up which some people told me. Spare parts I normally bought outside from authorized re-seller from Segambut. Can bring to dealer SC to do since I m close with the head technician. QUOTE(tishaban @ Apr 12 2012, 06:03 PM) Filled for life is a dangerous word in my opinion. No question that it's been tested etc. but RM200-400 to replace ATF every 2 years is cheap insurance. I bought mine for accent for rm80 (orig) last month. hehe~ i think it's safer to change la .. hehe~ although it's warranty for 300K or 5yrs still a bit scary after that .. |

QUOTE(JC999 @ Apr 12 2012, 06:24 PM) 2.46% shouldn't be any issue. Some can get u lower like 2.45% or so. But it won't make any much different in your repayment actually.Added on April 12, 2012, 6:30 pm QUOTE(joanalooidog @ Apr 12 2012, 06:22 PM) seems nice, but still scared scared....... To make it simple, Dual CVVT definitely has better fuel efficiency than CVVT.BTW, both Forte 1.6 and Elantra 1.6 using GAMMA engine, so both totally same model or just same series? And Forte 1.6 has CVVT whereas Elantra is on Dual CVVT, does it make big difference? as my fren who is driving forte claimed that FC for forte is around 11-12km/l mix driving. So i assume Elantra will be better rite? This post has been edited by stevenycs: Apr 12 2012, 06:30 PM |

QUOTE(BuFung @ Apr 12 2012, 08:54 PM) A 12v dc cable direct from your battery is actually a dangerous cable... If u add amp, u need this 12v and the body of ur car is all the neutral back to ur battery.... Any leaking of the 12v live cable .. Any part of the cable... Mean it touching ur car body, the neutral... WAH That mean... That part is a short circuit.... Short circuit mean Apa I think u should know... That why a very good 12v cable + a very good protection fuse are more important than ur good spk cable... Added on April 12, 2012, 8:55 pm I run my ICE cable myself... |

QUOTE(666devil @ Apr 13 2012, 08:10 AM) I heard don't service aircond if no issue. Coz when service they take out the dash board. All noise will start to appear. To my knowledge never need to take out dash board. Why need to take out in the first place? I thought they only clean from the engine side?Anyone know if Hyundai service aircond also need to take out dash board? |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I just came back from 3S and asked for the schedule and he said not ready but did mentioned that it's cheaper than Sonata (DUH!!) and gave me some figures (pluck from the sky of course). Body kit will be coming in (after market) next month and expect to fork out 2.5K for it. As for warranty worries on the installing OEM HU on the car. No issue. As long as you are using back the same socket from the original one. Which I think isn't an issue. LED or DRL as mentioned must not disturb the original wiring. No cutting or re-wiring is allowed or VOID. And the ATF need to be change every 100K. It's not maintenance free. It is just LESS/LOW maintenance according to him. They will check if they need to change after 100K or else just continue driving lo. |
