Just test drove both 1.6 & 1.8 again with 5 passengers.
Definitely can feel less power but just sufficient. On the glaring issue on the HU, I didn't felt any glaring at all although we're under the sun light n all. But we had air cond issue when we sit in as the compressor turn on n off for some time before it settled down. |

Test drove with my fren again just now. Asked bout the Hyper Metallic n Tomato Red. She shown me the real pic from her phone. To make it simple, hyper metallic is exactly the same as the current Sonata. Really nice. I think Merz has this color. Red is 95% similar to Tucson. The Santorio Blue she shown me from her phone. Seemed very attractive too.

QUOTE(LTG @ Apr 11 2012, 06:57 PM) i think it's better to check out the color in real cause the red, santorio blue and hyper metallic really something special color the SA also said that the color from the brochure/catalogue do not do justification to the car in real. we even have this http://www.hyundaipuchong.net/elantra/colour.html previously posted up to show the car color |

It's slightly lighter than that. U really need to check it out yourself to really understand it. Haha!! Go to any show room with plenty of Sonatas. I was at HQ so luckily they have one to show me just now. And the SA saw it from the warehouse hence she can confirm the color. This post has been edited by stevenycs: Apr 11 2012, 09:22 PM |

QUOTE(mav3rick @ Apr 11 2012, 11:41 PM) Finally had the chance to test drive the elantra. but only the 1.8 premium Glad to hear that you have a nice test drive on the new Elantra bro anyway, my comments Interior: For me, the interior is way better than what you get in the Forte. in fact, i'll go as far to say that its kinda on par if not better than the honda civic. for those who say its cheap, i think they must have been comparing to VW or Beemers.. Exterior: No further comment. love the design except for the inokom badge The Drive: For those who say that its underpowered, no idea what you guys are comparing it against. For my test drive, there is sufficient torque, albeit a slight hesitation when you first floor the peddle. For me, the power is comparable to other 1.8s. Ride comfort is there. Handling, didnt really get to test it out as the roads are pretty straight and narrow at SS2. NVH wise is much better than the forte, comparable with other c-segments BUT imho, no as good as the Slyphy. Offers: Not much. Didnt get any discounts. Just free front and back emblems, RM300 off tinting and full tank. According to the SA, he already has 30-40 booking himself alone.. popular car, not allowed to give further discounts by SD. Wondering if any other SAs can top that.. well there you go. a non professional review from a non professional reviewer Just wondering where did he show u the body kit, LED and DRL from? Online pictures or they have it with them? any news when it's coming in and the cost? |

QUOTE(coral35 @ Apr 12 2012, 09:48 AM) OK, this is from what I experience two days ago. The power window can slide to the front and back. When to the back it opens completely but when going to the front it's tilted. I think I remembered correctly since me n my fren was tilting the window up and down ... Added on April 12, 2012, 9:52 am QUOTE(ihatemyguts @ Apr 12 2012, 09:48 AM) It is able to tilt So does this mean that you be concluding your purchase earlier than your initial plan bro? Just press the button instead of pulling. Spoke to a family friend(who's a dealer). He's seen the red in person and when he found out my colour preferences, just said "Just go for the red, forget the rest. It's THAT beautiful" I.am.ecstatic! QUOTE(666devil @ Apr 12 2012, 09:47 AM) Yeah. But if similar reviews all over the world, does this mean we are ALL biase? Furthermore, I'm comparing with T as I am driving the same segment. which two doesn't applies here bro? Btw, go YouTube search for 5 things US don't like about elantra. Of the 5 things, 2 doesn't apply to us i tot all also the same. 1) hard plastic (subjective) 2) wind sound at high speed (r there?) 3) auto up (we have it here) 4) rear view (subjective) 5) boot lock (we don't have that too) |

My procedure is kind of complicated, since i'm planning to get the elantra from the family friend (who's based in sarawak) and trade in current car to him. but hopefully everything can be done smoothly and we can welcome you to the Elantra family .. |

Only downside is u must have the key with u to open from back, just like smart entry door. was just browsing YT when you mentioned it so just search la but i checked yday with the 1.8 seemed like i can't find it .. just found the reverse camera. |
