QUOTE(chancole @ Mar 28 2012, 11:12 PM) my flx SE wheel arch place seems to be lacking of something called auto foam or chassis foam? because when i ran over sandy road or water, the sand or water hit the wheel arch very loud and noisy.. those compound which is rubber-like but very hard under the wheel arch.. they simply sprayed randomly on the wheel arch from assembly factory i guess. most part of the wheel arch are exposed steel.. is it suitable to apply chassis foam onto exposed area? Just now i saw FLX SE at my working area, only i understood what u said...TRUE, most part of the wheel arc is not sprayed with bitumen and exposed compare to BLM/FL....i wonder why Proton so cheapskate want to save at that part... |

QUOTE(cuteyman @ Mar 30 2012, 03:13 PM) FLX CVT needs more calculation for gear ratio changing since its variable. Added on March 30, 2012, 3:17 pm QUOTE(jerrymouse @ Mar 30 2012, 03:16 PM) Will it affect the car handling performance after changing the original absorber or spring? I also find it quite hard, feel like the tyre air too much liao <<hard feel>> If change absorber i think not much effect, but spring yes...This post has been edited by coolkwc: Mar 30 2012, 03:17 PM |

QUOTE(dares @ Mar 30 2012, 03:35 PM) Manual FLX mane ade CVT ni I bet FLX manual can use 16bit without problem...Usually higher bit count means it can store and calculate values to a higher degree of accuracy. For example, in a 32 bit architecture it can store the decimal figure 123.4567891, where as in a 16 bit system it can only store the same figure as 123.457 . This might not mean much, but when you carry a figure through multiple multiplications or divisions, the differences will grow geometrically and the final calculated figure becomes more and more deviated from the actual figure. That is, assuming the 16bit and 32bit term is the same as the one used in the computing field. Added on March 30, 2012, 4:19 pm QUOTE(koh_424 @ Mar 30 2012, 03:37 PM) Try to lower down the front tyre air pressure lo. Aiya, becos i compare to other car ma, no compare no gain...Last time i pump tyre pressure til 220kpa. Still not feel so hard on it. Mayb personal preference. QUOTE(chancole @ Apr 1 2012, 09:55 PM) saturday went to KL from ipoh. i was extremely pissed because of tyre noise on highway Bro, i understand you...Last time i drove from Ipoh<->JB, lagi kesian than you, those noise really unbearable, even turn up radio also useless, because more louder the radio, more fatigue my ear will be... I think one of the cause of harsh NVH is our absorber is harder, when going through those loose tarmac surface, the absorber can't absorb those tiny vibration from the tyre..Our tyre noise mostly is in mid-bass frequency region, one of the prove that i mentioned above. QUOTE(zeone @ Apr 1 2012, 10:32 PM) The main cause of the road noise is the ROAD itself!! Bro, no need to deny our Saga NVH is very bad.I've recently driven along a few stretches of NEWLY re-layered NSE hiway. Music fr my FL's radio was as clear as at home!!! Even at 110kph... I agree the main cause is the road itself, but why others car can enjoy even driven along those damn road? And how many percent road along the NS highway is NEWLY re-layered? Not intended want to compare to those expensive car, but from the car i ride, from mid price VIOS, Latio, to our local Persona, Wira, Myvi, Viva, Saga is the worst among it...those local made car also almost 0% soundproofing, but how come it is more silent? |

QUOTE(chancole @ Apr 2 2012, 12:56 AM) The seller quoted me for that price seriously.. he said he got another budget solution, which cost only rm400. i think this budget solution is using another cap ayam brand Honestly bro, no big difference on tyre noise for the car with or without this wheel arch spray. Just that no spray when water/stone hit it will be more louder, the tyre noise you mentioned during highway cruising is cause by others factor. Just don put a high hope on that, else u might disappointing later. |

QUOTE(zeone @ Apr 1 2012, 10:58 PM) Me din deny...juz yr assumption... You must know a fact that for most 1st time car buyer, they will not know their own priorities.Me juz made a statement re Road Noise. If only Msian roads were better surfaced & maintained, Saga owners wld enjoy their rides much more! No doubt that Saga NVH is bad...a fact. However, it's understandable & even acceptable, considering wat one pays for a Saga... Midline Vios? Abt RM30k more? Latio? More RM diff? Myvi? Approx +/- RM10k more? Persona? RM20k...? B4 anyone spends his hard-earned $$$ on his choice of ride, he shld chk it out well (go for REAL drives) & esp his important priorities. NO point being unhappy over this & that after buying, rite? Choice & Decision was OURS! For me, i dun even know what is 'road/tyre noise' before i own this Saga. Because I din encounter such 'noticeable' road noise before. Last time also test drive before i bought, but the road i test is a nice re-layered road, since no aware of this noise, that why dun bother to test on those loose surface road. Ask in here? Dun even know what is 'fast n furious' in Lowyat at the time... So Saga maybe is ur cup of tea, or other owners here won't bother the noise so much, Just i have same opinion as chancole, damn fatigue my ear. |

QUOTE(dares @ Apr 2 2012, 05:04 PM) If just for regular service, it is OK. The work area is open so you are free to hangout with the technicians and watch them work on your car, or go kepoh other cars. The technicians are OK, but the desk jockeys, especially the manager, is a bit of a d***. Hmm, only FLX or FLX SE who face this problem or what?Oh they will also try to sell you the X1R, just say no. They also dont allow you to bring your own lube. Same same lah. I also bosan, didnt bother. All petrol stations also the same, thats why I often cant fill full tank, mesti 1 bar short of full. I never encounter this problem at all leh...fuel tank opening got changing point from BLM/FL -> FLX ka? |
