Hi guys,

Need recommendation for a durable polo shirt brand.
Want to use it for work, usually i bought pdi or any of their family company.
But need to buy a new one almost every 4-6 month, the bottom will stretch out after 6 month of wash.

thanks in advance. budget below RM100 sweat.gif

If you want durability in terms of cost per use... then forget those "designer/luxury" brands, they are never worth their price in terms of durability.

Go try Zara's polo.

They're about RM99.90.

It's plain polo.

Go to One Utama's Zara as they have more color selection.

but for Zara, the materials may be a little rough at first but after a few wash, it'll be much smoother.

Uniqlo polo length is the most appropriate for my body, other things like shirts at uniqlo are too long for me. sad.gif

Banana republic? It's at rm100+.
I bought a very comfortable banana republic polo tee at reject shop at rm40. Very comfortable to wear, it's 96% cotton and 4% spandex. It's 100% non defect and authentic, just that they cut off the label. Should buy more that time.

Or you can go factory outlet to look for la coste. Bought plain one at rm150. Not classic pique cotton, but more like jersey cotton. Quite comfortable and felt like very durable.

Ralph Lauren is one of the best. Very comfortable but quite pricey unless you buy it in USA. You will surprise to see how low the price was in us.

Tommy hilfiger is good as well. Bought a classic plain polo tee around rm100 during their sales in us. The cotton is comfortable and cutting is nice. Again, you will be surprise to see the low price in us.

Burberry is very expensive. But I think the material is almost the same like polo Ralph Lauren or la coste. good for going to club but not work I guess.

G2000. Not durable in my opinion. It goes out of shape few months after you bought it.

Fred perry and CKJ. Bought one each few years back but dont like it. CKJ is the worst, not durable at all. Dont really like Fred perry. But I can't judge because I gain weight and never wear it for 1,2 years.

To me, Ralph Lauren, Tommy hilfiger and banana republic are the best. Ralph lauren and Tommy hilfiger are quality guaranteed, but I like RL's design and fitting more. I just love banana after the first time I bought it in reject shop, will buy more of banana instead of Ralph Lauren because of the lower price. smile.gif

The G2000 that I bought quite durable. Fit your budget. Still looks good after 2-3 years.
Perhaps buy more polo shirts. Long cycle before you wear and wash the same one again.

bro, it's not the problem of budget or material

it's the way how u wash it.

Don't rendam overnight, Don't use washing machine, use correct temporature water to wash it (follow the tag there) tongue.gif

Get a cheaper polo so u could change so often... When u start worrying on how to make ur tee last longer it just means u can't afford it.. Get something cheaper and change when its spoiled

really keen to look into it to wash my favorite shirt.

Well for me, they have better / plain / simple design rather than RL. Bought few of them last year, still last till today. Cost only below RM100.

topman polos? ppffftt. I swear I won't recommend anyone to buy their polos. I don't even give a shit about topman anymore, neither am I stepping into their shops again. Why? cos it's too bloody mainstream. I have a couple of topman polos as a gift, the one with stripes at the collar part and sleeve, pretty famous piece last year. Everywhere I went, there is another ******* with the same piece, especially in OU..can you guess how embarassing is that? and I realize hipsters nowadays are like topman topman topman everyday.

most of the time I'll just hunt my polo from Reject Shop, FOS or just head straight to Zara.

Normally i wear the polo tees from FOS/G2000/Padini Concept/GAP/ Jeeps
Try to buy more during sales especially year end sale/warehouse sale.
Try to wear in long cycle, like me, got more than 20 polo, can wear for 2 weeks, then wash at the same time (cotton on, reverse and put in laundry bag before enter washing machine), use around 30degree celcius water and wash normally, don't use speed wash mode.
During hanging, remember the inside of polo tees face out, put up the collar with cotton on, use thicker hangers better, and don't over exposed under the hot sun (means after dry still hang under the sun)especially the plain color, the tees' color easily got seasoned and lighter.

Looking at the topic of this thread "Durable Polo Shirt".
Polo shirt who still looks great on colour and conditons which I been receiving in the last 5 years doing BUNDLE business..
The authentic polo shirts are brands from Lacoste, Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Champion, Fred Perry, GAP, Izod, Le Tigre, to name a few... From my point of view is that those polo shirts which are made in USA, Northern Mariana Islands, Peru, Colombia, England, Turkey, Italy, France, Germany, Mexico, Bolivia, Dominican Republic....

For ard 200, would really like to suggest superdry, in term of the cutting, fine quality of the materials & most importantly, their durability.
