Care to suggest some for me, eh?so that i dunno how to narrow down the topic Asking a question is definitely not wrong as you are seeking for answer(s). Well. I am one of maybankers for IT Deparment.
For maybank there are recently backsource their IT Department after being outsourced to CSC (CSA) for 10 years and cost around USD342 Million (The biggest outsoursing tender ever in malaysian history) IT department now known as Maybank Shared Services Sdn Bhd. IT department is the biggest maybank department as total IT Staff is around 3.2K staff. Even in IT department we do have our own HR (IT HR) So far in IT dpt the starting grade is Band-i or BG51 (Junior Exec) equl to assistant manager if base at maybank branches. Well the benefits is almost the same with other bank (base on job grade) for exec the insurance for whole family is unlimited with no hussle (A-Z), housing loan 2-3%, 10% discount for buying proton haha. 1% of for BMW, bonus is fix to 3.5 Month whether ur good or not, but increment is base on ur KPI. Mill claims 0.90/1KM, Overtime claims RM140/more then 4 hours working perday and more for public. Good path to learn lot of things as we have the biggest department unit. Good Luck. |

I beg to differ. Bonus is performance based. Last year and this year I got close to 7 months (back to back Exceed Target ratings for my Balance Score Card).

Opps. Bonus is diff compare to other department.
Most of the times Maybank-IB (kim eng) will get more more n more as their making 30+% for maybank income in total. For IT base person i prefered u when to CSC, Microsoft, HP or Dell for career devlpmnt. But in the end all depends on u. |

It is true benefit is good, sorry for repeating the above, lol - unlimited medical for self, spouse, children (Etiqa Medical Card will be given) - bonus is good for those performing staff (better than RHB/Ambank and those smaller banks) for my area in Risk Manangement - flexi benefit for AVP and above >RM1k per annum - fixed benefit for Exec/Senior Exec (Unionised staff) eyewear + dental around RM400+ - Housing loan 3.5% fixed, Car loan 0.25% below commercial rate - Staff renovation loan / Festival loan / PC Loan... - Overseas travel subsistence allowance |

If you are under Debt Markets and your performance is rated above 4 (out of 5) you can expect your bonus to be at least 12 months. In Investment Bank you increment is on the variable scheme of at least 10% as compared to the commercial bank arm which is fixed for grades below AVP. If i not mistaken is about RM250 per annum. |

QUOTE(frankng2015 @ Dec 9 2014, 11:33 PM) Suppose it depends on what level you're entering and which team. My friend was there as fresh grad, was about RM 3k+ for origination, but now more senior so getting more. Bonuses are good too based on what I've heard, esp if you are in the revenue side (vs cost centre). |

I thought among the best (rising) is Maybank Islamic? Considering Malaysia is the most influential in the Islamic Finance in the whole world? |

Maybank Islamic benefits is equivalent to Maybank Group...In terms of non monetary is good but for monetary Maybank Investment is the better. |

As per most companies, salary varies based on position and job grade. I was there 2006-2008 under cash management dept. At that time the place to be is ASEAMBANKERS. Treasury gets the most in terms of bonus from my knowledge at the time. Benefits as per informed above by others - medical fully covered 20+ days AL per year. Mandatory 10 days block leave required from the yearly AL (this is pretty standard across banks).
As far I can remember for interview there's writing test and need to sit through a panel of 3-4 people (during my time lah).. |

Anyone know what is the benefit for AVP under IT maybank share services. Hear that they cut a lot of benefit. Eg: there is cap for medical, No longer unlimited.
How the bonus there? Is true average 3 to 4 months for permanence bonus? |

Yes, currently got cap which is 35K for u and 25K for wife. Unless u enter before 2018. U will get unlimited cover. No, this year macam wanna cut here and there. Probably 1-1.5 months. Depends on department pool. Benefits as above ur flexi point 1K a year. Then travel allowance 380. At AVP level usually no need to see this benefits edi. Since mostly all nearly 20K monthly. |
