Lens dilemma here.
Currently using D7000 + 18-105mm.

I'm looking for a walkabout lens. I mostly shoot buildings but when I'm not I almost always put the focal length @ 50mm and shoot. Most of the time I'm happy with the results.

Any suggestions? Not sure if using a prime would suit me.

Why kennot use the 18-105? Unless you want bigger aperture and better quality..

the 18-105mm is already a good walkabout lens, what is that you find limiting with your current zoom?
if you need more light, the 50mm f1.8G is a good companion
Yes, want more bokehlicious and IQ. Using the kit lens I'm always shooting at F8

Bigger aperture doesn't mean bigger f-stop.

The bigger the aperture, the smaller the f-stop.
