lens hood wont help much as its hitting straight on.
i've seen those kind of reflections before even when using a hoya HMC filter.
just draw a line diagonally, the reflection is a mirror image of whats on the opposite side of it.
best is to just remove the filter.

what if i use filter and hood for protection? haha

take bracketing shots and merge them? hahaha.. not sure if that works.. keke

I think its worst, coz Nikon has to replace/repair defective ones, and possibly fix some thats current in the assembly line. Once we see some cameras on the shelves, then possbily supply would have stabilised, who knows when D600 comes out everyone will rush to get one maybe by then the D800 would have dropped to sub 9k region ( wishful thinking!  )

i think D900 price wont drop la.
when D600 come out, then D700 will drop more
