I think those super rare collectible model will appreciate instead of depreciate. I'm trying to fine 8285 Technics, discontinued model. Orig price was US$119, now it shot up to US$180. I love the 8285, but no money to buy. Probably getting Taj Mahal in a few weeks time. I'll post here when I get it.

QUOTE(eric_tan @ Nov 19 2008, 11:28 AM) If I can get someone to buy and send back the LEGO from lego.com, who would be interested? bulk buying is risky. the items will end up in customs and being taxed. not to mention additional transport fee and time wasted to go there and pick up.

QUOTE(eric_tan @ Nov 19 2008, 10:28 AM) If I can get someone to buy and send back the LEGO from lego.com, who would be interested? Sounds interesting, but like alan said the customs tax + shipping can be quite hefty sometimes cos last time i bought my NXT from the states i kena 15% tax and USD60+ for shipping. But if we can get away with the customs tax then we may join forces for the greater good This post has been edited by General Specific: Nov 20 2008, 10:57 AM
