Hello guys..

I love cycling when I was young. With my rm700 mtb bike and few of my friends, we cycle everyday after school. I used to cycle at places such as back alley of houses, monsoon drains, rumah haram housing area & many other urban rotten roads.

Now I'm venturing back into this hobby with a little more extreme level. Given the experience I've been through when I was a kid, I would love to have similar trail like that.

1st journey I'm planing to cycle will be from my house reach bukit gasing and inside the jungle I'll be exiting from bangsar south.

I know most of the road over there can't really cycle much, need you guys to advice me on that part if any of you guys did cycle in the jungle.

Beside this, I plan to cycle to town from PJ during weekend to enjoy some early breakfast. Is it safe for me to cycle along the highway? I'll be cycling on the emergency lane or the bike lane?

Few times I've actually walk on the bike lane, I felt those bikers actually ride their bike pretty fast. I would actually need to move to the very very side of the path sometimes. By experience that, I don't think riding on the bike lane is safe. I might be wrong. Please advice me.

Btw, my partner cycling to town will be my gf. Other much more hardcore activity will be done by me solo.

got, along federal highway..there is a bike lane on the far left.

if i would to use sprint, then there isn't any bike lane. sometimes i do see people ride along sprint highway nearby pusat sains negara.

so there isn't any safe route to cycle from PJ to KL?

got meh? highway got such lane?

i know riding on the road ain't mountain biking. i'm cycling on road as well as jungle..look at my earlier post..i cycle on road is to accompany my gf to work out

i got it at a good deal due to certain reasons. so i'm getting lapierre lo.

what are the other brand price range that comes with the following below?
- Fox 150mm CTD
- RP2
- SLX 10 speed group set

can i not disclose the price here ah? specially offer to me and there are only few shops that sells Zesty. if i would to say it out here, i think i'll be in trouble lo. hahaha..i don't mind PM you la.

the price i told you or market price? i see you all bash Meta Am at the first few page about the rear sus problem placement faced during muddy road and still that is your choice?

you mean the meta am is good? i don't really like the blue..i actually fall in love the zesty 214 2013 model..it comes with red dash with white base.

also after looking most of the review on meta am, most of them are pretty satisfy on the bike performance but the only turn down is the placement of the rear sus.

as for zesty 214, 2013 model. most of them claim to be the best buy. not sure did "leper" paid them to say so or they really speak from their experience

i would say below retail price lo..i don't feel comfortable to disclose the price here. people's rice bowl, feel bad form me to spit on it la..some more so many cycling kaki here..hahaha

i would actually plan to buy a bike that i don't really need to add any accessories if possible. the max i would add is just the headlights and rear lights for the moment. wait till i'm really getting the drive in me, then i'll slowly upgrade part by part

after pushing it uphill, the downhill actually have a lot of different routes or only 1 routes?

i believe i really get a good deal from that guy. he is not any normal shopkeeper i just randomly walk in and ask the price.

he somehow is my friend and we used to be close previously. just that i've lost contact with him for sometime and when i wanna buy bike only i go look for him

remove brakes, remove seat, use fix gears, lessen the spokes and strip down all the paint job from the bike.

Price 7k can get ah? I see socialize just now, all so mahal. The parts they use either travel is below 140 or the rear suspension not syok.

Just now the closest I saw is specialize something something. Hahaha. Damn..I forget all the model name. 50/50 spec. Jump something something. But that one also need close to 10k. Mahal la.

The other one he show me is 6k plus. Got seat post thingy also. But the front and rear sus not what in looking for.

Both bike I saw using x9.

I visited KSH at tmn tun. The friendly guy named Lim served me. Very good service. He even asked me to take a test ride on meta am 2013 model.

Price he can offer me the best is rm8640. I think it is pretty harsh on my pocket. Well the new 2013 model got a small little "flap" to prevent mud keep on splattering on the rear sus. I pretty like the bike but the price stop me from getting it. I think the best offer I get really afford is 214 for now.

Also another thing about meta am I found out is that the front casset is only running on 2 gears? Is this casset sufficient or not? I know that most of us (mainly me) hardly use the front gears, but wouldn't it better to have 3 gears infront instead of 2?

Oh. Okay. Chain ring. Hahahaha. The more rings they have it should be better for the person that cycle right? The only downside I see is the few hundred grams of extra weight.
