QUOTE(chyu89 @ Sep 25 2012, 10:23 PM) no money upgrade yet :Sbecame poor after buying the bike lol, i only hope it can help upgrade my health in exchange for blood money from those hard earn money i only upgraded the rims, hub and tires...next up will probably get a more cushy saddle or upgrade those pedals. I have not had much off-road experience yet so i'd probably understand the pain from the plastic pedals after i'm experience like you haha Added on September 25, 2012, 10:51 pm QUOTE(timothyy @ Sep 25 2012, 10:28 PM) You can join us this Saturday at 7.30am Bkt Kiara Bike Wash carpark. QUOTE(Proclaimer @ Sep 26 2012, 12:58 AM) Change pedal laaaaaaa... If not say good bye to your shin laaaaa mmm, what pedals do you suggest? No off-road experience better ride on the grass in your taman area first. Get the feel, then all the pros here can teach you no problem I dont mind to try off-road experience first then learn from it and see what i really need to change or rather no need to haha. I feel that the obvious is to get rear suspensions too but thats gonna take time to save up for definitely lots to learn from you guys...wise man told me don't get too hasty to spend on solutions but instead experience thy situation/problem first to know which solution to purchase |

just got my clipless pedals today...and the shoes ...
not as easy to use as i imagined needs some getting used to, plus the sifu told me to raise the seat a little (the pedaling posture and style i had been doing was so wrong i didn't mind the seat rise while on the go, but when it comes to a stop..the tip toe'ing balancing stop bit was a bit stress >.< pedaled my way back home stopping behind cars and traffic lights here and there on the busy streets, hoping not to fall to the ground cuz i cudnt unclip on time or something another epic story for them to lol with aunts and uncles Guess i need to get used to the clipping and unclipping thing and more importantly the corrected seat height. So i wana ask you guys how do you get used to the seat height thingy...i mean..when you stop at traffic lights and have to put your foot down to support while waiting for green light...the tippy toe thingy...isnt it difficult (straining the thight or toe thingy? or is there some kinda tip i can get from your good experienced self? |

yeah i'm using the shimano clipless pedals..
with my newbie experience it only seems logical to have them for utilizing both push and pull on the legs to get the full power from every churn put in...like while one leg push down the other pull at the same time.... Probably more useful going uphill...i think as for casual riding no problem...i just clip the extra flat part on top and can ride without clips |

hi all,
wanted to you sifu's about saddles... i saw this gel thingy that is add on top of the seat to make it more cushy...has like two hills and a big longkang in between...i guess for better blood circulation or something. Its one of those you just slip it on the seat like some kinda condom After my 45km ride in ulu langat i felt that my btm part was going a bit numb and so was my hands...i did try to stand ride as much as i cud which further took out a lot of my energy..the more i stood the faster my energy drained so thus the reason i'm thinking of getting a seat that could let me sit a little longer and get more circulation and comfort for the long exercising rides. So any opinions, recommendations and riding techniques to share? thanks in advance! |
