QUOTE(majorsinbad @ Jun 7 2012, 02:44 AM) Both have its pros and cons...I think you dont do any research and try to understand things by coming to that conclusion ... Muahahahahahahahahahaha!! Personally its among the highlight of kiara...finish of your daily ride on a high...i manage a few times on my HT...then fell a few times...after that dont dare...but with my FS i find its more forgiving and really helps when going down that stretch....either its a mental thing or memang the bike that makes the difference...i dun know...one thing for sure once u master it...u always wanna go down it... What to do ...my minister allow me ride...i cant stop her from baking....and its not nice if i dont eat what she bakes...lol This post has been edited by anthony_nch82: Jun 7 2012, 11:26 AM |

QUOTE(majorsinbad @ Jun 7 2012, 11:49 AM) If you guys have chance to do Kampung...might as well do it ....it never disappoints .. IMHO...the KG trails such as Clenched Sphincter, Penchala really test your mtb skills and also make full use of your bike ...if you ve made investment to your rig...this trail will make full use of all you ve invested...you ll really appreciate your bike after the trip ... And if you follow Tony, Marcus or Snapshot ....you ll really work your stamina and muscle ...hahaha... KG trail to me is almost like a jamboree...a really nice single trail jamboree... The only other trail that I want to try is Sungai Runs Through It...looking at the vids ...its really scenic and nice ...but I also heard its quite technical with lots of rocks ... Tak kan lutut dah goyang? heheheh...thats why you need to ride more ...strengthen those leg muscles hehehe QUOTE(ESLord @ Jun 7 2012, 12:40 PM) why can't use puncture kit? change tube easier ke? Let ride Kiara and flattening it. If anyone organizing noob introductory ride around Kiara, i think i am ready to join. Looking to few vid in youtube, there seems to be less technically challenging track. |

I don't think a lighter bike will excel in downhilling. It might be freaking buoyant and imbalance. IMO LAH~ =P

QUOTE(khairtech @ Jun 28 2012, 07:11 PM) thanks for your reply, any recommendation on below RM1k bike? General cycling, offroad maybe but very minimal coz im a newbie in MTB line. QUOTE(khairtech @ Jun 28 2012, 07:57 PM) I saw XDS bike around my budget 700-1000, with hydro brakes 1000-2000 at this shop nearby my house, if looking for more cheaper around 500-700 is raleigh. For bike below 1k. Just choose the color you like. They are generally the same. I have had the same dilemma as you when I first bought my bike Which I have sold it right away after 3 weeks of usage. If you can stretch your budget. Please get the bike around 2-2.5k. They have better design and at least carrying better resale value. Try Scott Aspect, Polygon or Merida. |

I rode logging track before when I was at Sabah hometown. it is fun when it's dry but if it is wet. the sticky soil may kill your traction an potencially killing your gearing mechanism as well.
As for your dream bike. Please refer the first page and you can also google. Basically, bike below two thousand are mostly the same. Just choose the colour you like. Good thing not cheap, cheap thing not good. |

QUOTE(kaizer @ Jul 28 2012, 11:41 PM) 1x9 is very much doable. Especially if you're not into epic rides and all. You can save up to a kilo or more too. My sifu can epic using 1 x 9. QUOTE(majorsinbad @ Jul 30 2012, 10:58 AM) I think for NB Kg can be a bit difficult but not impossible ...the root section is kinda technical... Where got technical? I see Raju can ride it smoothly. No need to hug tree, No endo. No problemo all the way with his magical Kona . In my opinion ...going back from KG to bike wash is the tough part ...especially if you re tired after reaching Kiara ..nonetheless ...its the best trail at Kiara ... Wanna ask ....is there a DH competition for the Olympics? |

QUOTE(chyu89 @ Sep 10 2012, 04:18 PM) QUOTE(ESLord @ Sep 10 2012, 05:41 PM) This is my observation... when during weekend, there is no activities in this tered. I guess ppl busy biking, relaxing and spending quality time with family. Ride with me.But cum monday morning- when time too work, this tered become active. Got ppl check in at 8.12 am some-more. The mod really professional, like full time paid job eh! Anyway, had my first dip at PCP. Quite a nice- suitable for beginner riders- less physically demanding and not too technical too. The only set back is the long drive. Added on September 12, 2012, 2:04 pm QUOTE(majorsinbad @ Sep 10 2012, 06:50 PM) Hahahah....siut .... Ask Boon Foo's team to custom it for you. Some more this is the kind of set up I like ... Black fork, Reverb and Hope like cables .... How to get black Black Float? I know for SC they do it ...but if you just buy the fork they only sell the white one...at least that was what I know QUOTE(garyfatty @ Sep 12 2012, 11:51 AM) Tumpang.
