Hi guys,

Open this topic is because i need to know the standard RMA for Western Digital i'll send to where ? Malaysia or Singapore ?

Due to i've looked over the hardware distributor list all is listed far away from me which is not convenient for me to send over to their places. And i haven't created the RMA coz i don't want later result come out i'll need to send singapore (which i've kena once at seagate site and i need to wait after 30 days for issuing new RMA) and the WD Express Services is not covering my area.

Thanks

You can sent direct to Singapore or can sent to collector at Malaysia... either way, still sent to Singapore for processing.

are you sure send to singapore?

I just rma a WD hdd last month but I paid US$7.5 for WD Express Services pickup (lazy to go pos office and queue up pos myself).

After I fill up the rma web form. I need to print out a shipping label with rma code and the address on the shipping label was “NR Intellitech Sdn Bhd, xxx Jalan Imbi, KL”.

P/S: I am satisfied with their rma process. I fill up the web rma form at night and they call me on the next morning to confirm pickup time. And I got back my RMA new hdd in less than 2 weeks.

The address on the shipping label for WD express was KL. So I assume that if I choose to ship it myself on the rma web form should be the same address. Sorry if I am mistaken.

I wouldn't go with WD Standard RMA if I were you.
I've sent my WD 500GB last time using WD Standard RMA through Poslaju that costs me RM45 to ship to their factory in Singapore.
The whole process took 40 days for the new replacement drive to arrive at my doorstep.

Then I send a WD 1TB using WD Express, the new replacement drive only took 13 days to reach my doorstep.
Trust me, the US$7.50 is 100% worth it. They come pick the drive from your doorstep no matter where you live as long as your address is valid & the process is a lot faster & easier.

Ouch!
There's nothing that I can do then.

Although you can pass the harddrive to your friend who lives in an urban area & give your friend's address so that WD Express pickup guys can collect the drive from your friend's house.
