QUOTE(YH90 @ Apr 4 2012, 08:43 AM) Having an OBU might help you if you plan to go for your Masters later on in life, or if you don't plan to pay your ACCA membership anymore. Hmm, wat about in working field or anything?? I might plan to study or work in overseas...It's more of a back up plan if you don't plan to enter the accountancy field at all. |

QUOTE(YH90 @ Apr 6 2012, 12:36 AM) Can you be a little bit more specific on the term "working field"? As far as I know, not every place would accept ACCA.. Some of them they require u to at least get a Degree in order to work for them...I believe working overseas as a fresh grad depends more on your connection that your qualification, unless you are top of your class or you come from an elite school. QUOTE(White Knight @ Apr 7 2012, 12:14 AM) As I said, it all depends on the nature of the positions advertised. For all the non-accounting positions eg sales & marketing, administrator, banking etc, off course the employers need the candidates to have a degree relevant to the positions advertised. Alright!! I get what u meant!! Probably I'll take the OBU just in case im going to change my mind... Thanks a lot!! Well I guess isn't not easy for M'sian to work in Spore, this world is getting competitive Prof qualifications like ACCA or CIMA are purely meant for those who want to pursue a career in accounting. If someone wants to pursue a career in for example, stock broking or real estate, then what's the point of studying ACCA....it will be a complete waste. Having said that, because of the 'kiasuness' of the employers in Spore, they will always prefer grad from their local uni in all professions eg engineering, accounting, law etc. Added on April 7, 2012, 3:57 am QUOTE(YH90 @ Apr 7 2012, 12:35 AM) Some business school do recognise ACCA, such as Imperial College for their MBA. If you're looking for an MBA, not Msc, Mphil or Phd, working experience will be sufficient. What about LSB?? MBS is more than enough for me This post has been edited by oOoproz: Apr 7 2012, 03:57 AM |

QUOTE(terryble @ May 3 2012, 06:37 PM) Just try to focus heavily on one or 2 papers and forget bout the other 1~~ Thanks for ur advice bro.. Well, what I do now is I just wanna practise all the pass year papers only.. I'm not planning to drop any papers of it... I know I can do it.. Just that I've to manage my schedule properly and put extra hard work only... again..plan your time..set a target~~~ for example...everyday practice a 2 (main) Questions~~ try ur best to write and answer, look for answer in textbook if you have to..then lastly refer to the model answers... identify your weakness and make sure you dun make similar mistakes in similar situations~~ F level papers are not that tough~~so i think u can still manage to do it for 2 papers.. provided that u actually learn something during the classes~ My advice is...if u plan to continue attitude like this~~ dun waste ur time in ACCA~~u will have a very hard time trying to past ur papers~and ultimately completing it~~ Btw guys, do u think doing the pass year is enough as I only left 1 month ++ to prepare for my finals?? Added on May 4, 2012, 4:15 am QUOTE(junggle @ May 3 2012, 06:08 PM) Same here doing F4 F5 F6. It's left 1 month so i guess practicing past year question like other 'sifu' advice would be better gua. I hope it works la.. Just practise and refer back the notes or ask friends/ lecturer if got anymore enquiries..This post has been edited by oOoproz: May 4 2012, 04:15 AM |

QUOTE(nick67 @ May 7 2012, 08:14 PM) sunway..classes quite stress but there's ample study space for individual or group study sessions, huge library as well..Also have ACCA sports day and Sunway Uni sports day.. Either Sunway or Tar college ba... If u have no financial problem I would recommend u to go Sunway... At least it's the better compare to others |

QUOTE(nick67 @ Aug 13 2012, 12:59 AM) Are you going for f7 and f9 classes? F7 and F9 I do go for classes... But im still thinking whether wanna go for F5 class anot.. F4 i sure self study ady... Ahh this raya break i gotta study for it first If you really really want to go through your plan..I'd suggest take F5 classes(especially if you're weak in F5) and not F4. F4 is a paper which you can self study because it's basically memory and regurgitation work. If you're the type who last minute study better take less papers and not jeopardize everything at once..Even when I take 2 papers also pretty heavy due to last minute revisions.. Added on August 20, 2012, 5:21 am QUOTE(noonies_naruto @ Aug 13 2012, 12:27 AM) I have concerns for your plan dude.. you must really be able to measure yourself first.. Hmm, so far this is my first time failing 2 papers... My time management was not really good last sem, was being too playful and last minute end up failed 2 papers... Well I was kinda disappointed but i know i deserved it... I just have to study at the right way n time... I know I can do this, hopefully i know you must be thinking that you'd do better for 4 papers, but even to the best of ACCA students, 4 papers is really I know people like you, always taking 4 papers after failing, end up failing all 4. not one, but quite a number of them.. in fact, my advise to people who have been constantly failing is, rather than take 4, take just ONE at a time, max is two, also if taking 2 then they should find large gaps between exam dates but seriously, if u have a killer intensive revision plan, and on top of that, to study yourself, then by all means do it. we are young. young is the time to try out new things This post has been edited by oOoproz: Aug 22 2012, 01:09 AM |

I know some topic of F5 is related to F9... My friends pass because of F9 too.. Hopefully this sem I can make it Almost got killed by the new examiner last sem but luckily survived. |
